It really does depend on your overall application. Masters may stand out for someone whose GPA wasnt as high but not make a difference for someone that has nearly perfect GPA and extracurriculars.

Thanks for your useful video. I’m a Ph.D. Candidate in Immunology in Canada with a good research background. I wanted to know if I stand a chance getting to med school with the GPA:3.12 for bachelor and 3.7 in master or it’s too low? I appreciate your response

Thanks Nazanin, we're happy this video helped you! And it's a great question. Based on your profile, you should consider med schools that consider graduate GPAs. Since your graduate GPA is higher, this may help "average out" your academic record and make you a more competitive applicant. You can find a complete list of schools that do here: bemoacademicconsulting.com/blog/do-i-need-a-graduate-degree-to-gain-admission-to-medical-school You should also focus on schools that emphasize research or accept students with strong research backgrounds, such as Stanford. Play to your strengths!

Im planning on doing an accelerated program from BS to MS in Biochemistry which is in total of 5 years do u think its worth it instead of a 4 year BS in biochemistry? I do want to apply to medical school afterwards

Hi! Thanks for your question. If you want to get your master's in biochemistry and you enjoy the study of biochemistry - you should complete the master's. We just don't suggest you do a master's to simply increase your chances of getting into medical school.

I have already BS and master degree in clinical and medical Laboratories . My age is 33 , so my question did possible to enter medical School to be qualified as MD? Did any program for MD consider my previous study of medical field in medical Laboratories and senior in medical Biochemistry (MSc), to study and complete of medicine school in few years?

Hi Ahmed! Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, there is no way to really shave off years for medical school. However, you can certainly do a program that's 3 years long, instead of 4.
