It's the mark of an adult, a thinker, to be able to re-examine your ideas and preconceptions. Too many people, many of them seeing themselves as "intellectuals", just adopt a certain perspective and are henceforth unable to question it in any way. Great video and interesting ideas, Blonde!
@SaneAsylum5 жыл бұрын
That would be the mark of adolescence. When we re-examine ideas it must be done against the standard of truth. Our most cherished truths are used to define everything else, no matter what those truths are (or if they are even true). Adolescence is when we constantly answer to that voice in our head because we are still unsure. Adulthood is the point at which we have so proven our truths to ourselves that we no longer have any doubts and hence are no longer interested in testing them yet again to the same end. The trick to mortality is choosing what to enshrine as bedrock principles of truth and what to redefine or abandon altogether as error. There are far too many "adults" (by age and not maturity) that are not even sure about the nature of reality (let alone its complexities).

Yes I think so too. We still can't have libertarianism-style individualism, but whatever individualism is possible is possible only if the country consists of one single main tribe. Family etc still needs to be promoted, but within certain parameters, liberty and individualism is possible. It's really too bad that Jordan Peterson and others don't get that. He can preach individualism all he wants, but he's not going to convert a mixed country into adopting it, only pockets thereof, and probably mostly whites.

Token Gentile It’s worse than that. Christianity started out as a Jewish religion. The idea that non-Jews are to be exterminated or enslaved comes from Judaism, and while Christ’s function in Christianity does end that idea, in order to become Christian, you’d have to believe that this was once true and endorsed by God himself. Atheism and paganism, on the other hand, do not have this problem.

If that had been attributed to Mohamed I'd understand given his actions in the Koran but Jesus was a 'treat others as you'd like to be treated' sort of hippy with a big bag of weed preaching love and tolerance(note:tolerance isn't the same as acceptance, an important point). Even the 10 Commandments can't really be argued against by any sane person as a solid basis for a society to adhere to(the 'No other God' one is irrelevant to non-religious people but doesn't actually harm them either). If anything, I'd say the religion is a little _too_ soft in terms of it's member's self-preservation; it does state that they can take up the sword to defend themselves, though the teachings, when lived, tend to be too peaceful for their own good.

I believe Jung was a brilliant human being who was on to some things which have yet to be fully interpreted by a mass audience. Blonde, in her video, mentions something along the lines of what you touch on here (a society needing to go through a loss of its own self, beliefs, values, etc. to come out on the other end successfully). And so, I think there's some truth to it; replace "enlightenment" (from your post) with "consciousness" from Jung. Replace "darkness" (from your post) with "pain" from Jung. This process is very much so a process of identifying one's own darkness and integrating it into one's self in order to become conscious, or enlightened. Perhaps this is happening on a grand, cultural scale in the West.

I think a return to Faith is the only thing that will heal the west. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33. There’s a persistent theme throughout the Old Testament. The people turn away from God, bad things happen, the people suffer for a while, and then return to God; rinse, repeat. I enjoyed your discussion on individuation and trends. I think it’s a mixture of the two. But the trends precede the individuation. Compare www.egyptindependent.com/why-do-so-many-egyptian-statues-have-broken-noses/ With kzbin.info/www/bejne/a52kaohnnsR4fas. I perceive it as the leaders dictate trends and, from that, flows the process of individuation. George Berkeley aptly exposed such in his philosophy, along with the long line of philosophers discussing optics and perception. Thus, the battle field, the area of spiritual warfare, resides in the culture. Faith provides moral guidelines for a culture, the set of rules for people to agree to interact with one another on. George Washington stated inculcating morals in society was paramount and that morals, virtue, and religion were intertwined; hence, the painting over the mural of George Washington in the school in San Francisco is not just the left’s attempt to erase history. There is symbolism underlying the decision to paint over that mural, to eradicate the connection between morals, virtue, and religion. The Catholic Church, despite the present infiltration, has been at the forefront of this battle since its inception. That’s one of the reasons Scripture and Tradition is so miraculous. The Byzantine Iconoclasm is a great introduction into the aforementioned. The introduction of radio, television, and the internet has been a game-changer in this great battle. Radio, with hitler as an example, highlights the power to influence the trends of a society. Television and schools were taken over by the Left for the same reason. Now, the internet, especially with social media, has provided an avenue for the Right to push back. This is why Qanon has shown to be so influential; see this, you may find interesting. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xoanon. We need and must have Faith and learn from tradition. Our Lady of Fatima warned of what would come, further reminding us all through Our Lady of Akita. There are many in this battle but, as you aptly pointed out in other videos, the Right and people of Faith are disconnected from one another. Many people are starting to see this same problem. “Study the lies, they can make new lies up. Study the truth and you’ll know when a lie comes.” kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5m7hX2EqZ1oe5Y. But, fair warning, there is also the problem in uniting people, the problem of infiltration.

@OldSchool My brother and his wife have 6 kids (all under the age of 8), and he hasn't been making a lot of money the past few years- until recently he was working on a doctorate in Physics (he's a PhD, now!), and was being given a stipend from the university, plus a scholarship from a national science organization. It wasn't much for a large family, but there's a low cost of living here, and they are thrifty. We (our family in general) aren't ashamed of buying most of our clothes- and a few other bits and bobs- from thrift stores, as long as the clothes are still wearable (and we can make small repairs if necessary). In fact, I have some VERY nice dresses and blouses that I bought for only a few bucks at the local thrift store, so I'm very in favor of them :P We also go to the local Dollar Tree, and ours is pretty good, and pretty useful to us. My brother's family gets their food from Sam's Club (buying in bulk is great), and they just don't buy unnecessary and costly amenities. They have older model phones (ie: not "smart" phones). They don't have cable, and haven't even had internet for years- they use ours the few times they actually need it (we don't mind). As far as health insurance (which can be costly) is concerned, most doctors offices in our experience will give you a reasonable price for visits if you don't have insurance, so even that hasn't been a problem. There are all sorts of free homeschooling resources on the internet, so aside from the cost of paper and ordinary elementary school supplies (which I buy at Dollar Tree), that hasn't been expensive, either (creative thinking helps, as well). Through all of this, my brother's family managed to put money into savings, so that they will soon be able to buy a house. True, their two cars are pretty crappy, but they are functional (and my brother and sister-in-law have learned a lot about how to properly do some of their own car repairs from their mechanic). It is possible to live within your means with a larger than average family :) Ya gotta be creative, willing to buy from alternative cheaper sources, and be good at self-denial (ie: don't buy the fun but expensive and unnecessary crap).

Dear Blonde. I remember when I first saw one of your videos I think about the time of the walk away movement beginning. You are an exception in that you open up your heart to us all. I'm guessing this is why making videos is difficult. There are many influences, many voices in our movement, mostly positive if incomplete. We are all making changes together. I want to digress a good bit. A tough pill that you know is out here but you haven't swallowed. We have a singularly determined and united enemy. We are western Christendom. Our enemy has hated and plotted and attempted to harm and enslave us for a couple thousand years now. They are our masters as i cannot name them. They live in all countries of the world yet claim allegiance to none but their own. It is incredible to many that this is possible. It is their design that we are blind to their treachery. Of course their control over the attitude, values, and thoughts is possible thru their ownership of the lines of communication. Television, newspapers, the internet, hollywood and more completely than can be explained here. But not just the media but culturally, education, certainly the law (4 out of 9 justices) and government. All this made possible by their control of the supply and cycles of money itself. Jesus said. Jn 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” I've long taught that the New Testament is not so much a history as a handbook for jesus disciples of every time. But still I read Jn 8:44 like a verse for there and then. Now I know different. In Rev 11 the two end time witnesses will be killed and "And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified." Not a flattering picture of the now capital of that state.. these people are seeking to rule the world to bring the return of their messiah. There is a video of nitenyahu being chewed out because his generation has not done enough to bring the return of their messiah. Maybe you have looked at all this before. You know that 9/11 was a mossad operation? How about this, there were no gas chambers. How does that fit with our presuppositions? I am certain of this. The Germans kept very good records. Things are not as they seem. You are constantly deflected from this truth. hardly a day goes by that you don't have these lies re-enforced in your mind. Many things don't make sense without understanding this. Wish i could talk to you. Hope you aren't offended. sorry if this is all old news. GBY I think you are wonderful.

Word choice and syntax matter greatly in making ones point. We as a culture have been pushed to adopt this "speak"...and it hampers us in our clear decision making.. Fore example: 'Aberrant behavior', is a phrase which has quite literally disappeared from our speech! Also consider the words: Deviant or Pervert? or the concepts of Deviance and Perversion! GONE? Today we use the words: 'Inclusivity' and 'tolerance' to muffle our primal disgust with bad social traits. It really must change.... what is wrong with telling it like it is? The French were having this same debate two hundred years ago after the Revolutionary-Napoleonic wars. They experienced a religious revival after rejecting the materialism, atheism, and individualism of the Enlightenment, but it didn't last long. The work of Victor Cousin comes to mind as he tried to balance faith, reason and historicity within his philosophical framework.

A return to faith did not heal sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa, West Asia, or the USA. A return to personal responsibility might help us, but that would be in contradiction to theological, Abrahamic, Christian, and Islamic ideas of a god(s) with a personal plan for us, a plan for our people, a plan for all people, predestination, faith in god(s) being required for entry to heaven, and so on. Looking at Myanmar, a return to Buddhism didn't help them. Same with Hinduism in India. Inventing mythical beings to regular people to believe was a great idea in past centuries. It got regular people to be blindly obedient, it got young men to give their lives to enrich their elders, it got people to toil their entire lives in slavery and near slavery, it got poor people to financially enrich their priests and bishops. Nowadays, religion only serves to create an us and a them. We that are good. Them that are evil and okay to cheat, steal from, assault, and kill, on a personal or national basis.

Hi Blonde, Thanks for the video. Do you find a contradiction between your words and actions? You say that faith is superior to rationality but seek to use a rational argument to make your case. If faith is superior to rationality then why aren't you using faith to come to your position? Why are you using rationality instead? I agree with you that most people lack meaning in their lives. This was me for the longest time too. I have recently left Christianity behind after having been a committed Christian for over 20 years (30 years if you count my time growing up in a Christian home). Becoming independent to rely on myself without hoping that God would somehow "fix" things allowed me to start finding meaning and purpose. I had many conversations with Christians, and still do, about meaning and purpose. Most Christians also lack meaning to their lives, no less than the rest of the population. Going back to faith does not seem to be the solution. One last thing. We cannot just return to Christianity. To return, people would need to be convinced that it is true. Simply "having faith" that it is true, does not work. As much as people may want to believe, they cannot force themselves. This will come out in actions eventually. If you want to know your true convictions, don't look at what you say, look at what you do, your actions. They will show you what your actual convictions are.

Western society needs a spiritual purpose that can only be found in faith. Western nations can find a goal to aspire to through religion. Christianity build the west, encouraged men and woman to have families and contribute to their communities while forbidding sinful behaviour and shunning self-centredness. The west needs to embrace the best of the good old days of the fifties while discarding it’s more reactive and inflexible aspects. Embrace the freedoms and acceptance of all people hard-won in the seventies while discarding it’s more debaucherus aspects. A return to the ways of old.

It’ll be pretty much impossible for people like me to return to a belief in god or gods without lying to ourselves. Does that mean we are lost? My thoughts are we need to cone to a new paradigm where we value culture over most everything else. Using the root values of faith with the provable application through science and philosophy. I don’t think there is going back to magical sky men, those clouds have already been crossed. Leaving faith is much like the cave story. You can’t really go back.

Christianity is a false faith/religion. European Paganism is true.... it's beautiful, and it is our own.

I am one of the rare breed of conservative atheists (yes, we exist) so I know I'm going to get a lot of flack about this comment (let's just keep it civil please). Which of the thousands of gods should we put our faith in? How do you know you have faith in the right god? How do you know that you are not being deceived by an evil entity into putting your faith into the wrong god? If, as many religions (including Christianity) proclaim that everything is written, then the circumstances humanity finds itself in is exactly as god has written. How can faith cause god to change what he has written? These are not just rhetorical questions, either. I really want to know the answers. And I'm not asking for any proof that any god exists, all I am asking is how is having faith that a god will change our situation any better than having faith that we can change our situation ourselves?

If I may be presumptuous, perhaps two line from the my own faith might help (and I say this not to promote my own faith (though I can if you'd like), but as an 'agnostic' word of wisdom): "Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit." and "Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds." Be objective, look at the fruit of the faiths.

I liked the way that you described all of the problems as symptoms. The Bible says that He who does not know Love does not know God. All of the symptoms that we observe are fundamentally symptoms of a lack of love. Yes, if a human being does not experience Love, sickness is inevitable. Our lives are full of instances in which love is lacking and we're SURPRISED that there's all of this fear that motivates corruption, anxiety which must be numbed, etc. Without Love, fear is not cast out. Be not afraid therefore, to speak your principals and stand for what you believe (in spite of how frequently and promiscuously the Left will call you "racist").

The only viable solution is the Hegelian synthesis of capitalism and socialism--that being fascism. It conjoins the strengths of each and makes up for what they both lack, which is a metaphysical aspect and an adherence to the natural order. Both capitalism and socialism, on their own, lead to the same nihilistic conclusion.

One does not chose to become an atheist. One is usually brought up religious, then reluctantly abandons one's faith after seeing that its worldview does not correspond to observed reality. Likewise one does not chose to become a believer. One cannot bring oneself to forget everything and become childlike again. Therefore this whole issue of "returning to the faith" (as if one could) is entirely futile.
@inquisitorMence5 жыл бұрын
What I see is faith acting as a stand in for understanding. It works in an overly simplistic, authoritarian kind of way, but it is ultimately failing as the need for an underlying truth increases. Trying to push back to faith will likely make things worse. More understanding, more knowledge, is needed, not less - faith brings neither of these things.
@SaneAsylum5 жыл бұрын
Not at all. You are confusing meanings of faith as well. Faith is the bridge between ignorance and experience (hence knowledge). But the word is used to mean more than just that and in the context Blonde used it I believe it means so much more. The damned are those who refuse to concede that others might know something they do not know and are hence unwilling to rigorously experiment and discover the truth for themselves. Every know-it-all you ever met was just so. The process of learning comes to every individual as a birthright. Without faith there is no learning at all. Progression is after all a belief whether regarding mobility, speech, or more esoteric concepts. Thus more faith is and will always be necessary for progression.

An over emphasis on materialism is its own problem. Atheists are autistically literal with how they view the world and they're blind to the other half of the human experience. Just because God is not provable in a lab does not mean the Bible isn't full of truth. Try reading it with a more artistic mind, if that helps.
@64bitAtheist5 жыл бұрын
It does not. I cannot ascribe truth to a lie. The Bible has stories in it along the lines of the boy who cried wolf, these are useful, but can be found in entirely secular settings with out the need to believe the incredulous. Bad people will always do bad things, but if you want to get good people to do terrible things you need a religion or some other ideology that doesn't map to reality.

Of course a return to faith would help us. However, I wish, just once, that you, or some of the others I've attempted to speak truth to, would actually take the time to read it, think on it, and then, go find out the truth, for yourselves, in this line of thinking. 40 years ago, as I warned on the coming of all of this, I was in that cave. However, when I tried to tell people the truth that I had learned, first hand, it wasn't just non-belief I faced, it was anger, hypocrisy, all-out hostility, even. I just try to leave this key here, one more time. I fully understand that my posts are long, and, for some reason, people abhor "full explanations" these days, but I will not change this. If I do, people come out with 1/2 truths and can manipulate my meanings. Wordsmithing is the new, 21st century art form, employed by the left, and now some of those on the right, who've bought into Progressivism, and the selling out, of the American Idea. It's extremely dangerous. The key I'll leave, is this: INTENTIONAL. What the left, who'm I've dubbed the weaponized, Progressive left, is doing? Is INTENTIONAL. This isn't a "Fad". This isn't a "movement". What this is, is the attempted take-over, and destruction, of America as we know it. Period. I'll end with this. Their goal, their ONLY goal, is to get rid of our Constitution, replacing it with their own, new, "Progressive" version. Which is not a Constitution, but an indoctrination, that leads directly to them in completely & total control, of our country. It would no longer be 50 states, it would be one country. They also wish to remove the "White, Power structure". Completely. Totally. In ANY way that it may take them, to do so. They wish to turn the races against the "White man". They feel they can influence the white women, and manipulate them to their ideology, without much effort. Which they've done a masterful job of doing. That is, unless it's a "thinking white woman". Those? Will be thrown in with the men. Sorry to be blunt. But this is something I've been warning about for a very long time. We're just seeing it come to fruition, is all. They will use the sexes, and sex, as a weapon, as they have been, obviously, as well. Then, THE most important thing they had/have to attack, and, eventually destroy, is God. They have not been as masterful at this one, but they HAVE been successful. See, these are NOT things that will just "go away". And these are not things they are willing to just surrender, and give up. They've been working on this, for almost 1/2 a Century. They will NOT stop. EVER. That is, of course, unless American's finally wake up, and FORCE them to. And by that, I mean DESTROY the entire party. Strip them completely. Utterly. And then FULLY REJECT, everything they were attempting. Now, I see some American's already fighting as I have been, to the best of their abilities. But, too many people are unwilling to see the truth. They just are. I cannot explain this aspect, whatsoever. In fact, I've stated many, many times, it's one of the strangest things I've ever seen in my life. The complete rejection of truth, actual truth, AND the lack of desire, to even TRY to find out for themselves, if what I'm saying, is true. The weaponized, Progressive left, is just that, weaponized. They own all of the media, the education institutions, Hollywood, and a large faction of our Political system, when you take into account those civil servants, unelected, who've, over the years, gathered more and more power, from a Congress all-too-willing, to surrender it. This is a massive amount of power. I would think, that, to ALL American's, what I've been warning about for so long, now being shown, blatantly, for all the world to see, with them even now calling THEMSELVES, "Progressives", would have woken our nation to this absolute danger. And yet? Even after watching the utter insanity of the Kavanaugh debacle, America GAVE THEM POWER, once again. It was just another shock to my system. One of many. America saw the Mueller hearing. Pure insanity. They KNOW that this man hired ALL leftists, many supporters of Hillary Clinton, to do a Special Investigation, into a Sitting President of the United States of America, and are STILL OK with this. This was a COUP, against a sitting President. Period. There is evidence a MILE HIGH. The evidence against President Trump? NONEXISTENT, from day one. And yet? America still believed the Mueller investigation, right up to the debacle in Congress the other day, was WARRANTED. Why? Because the media is a powerful tool. Propaganda is a DEADLY tool. And, yet again, we have Americans completely ignoring the fact, that it was President Obama, as he was getting ready to open an illegal investigation, and SPY, on a Presidential candidate, that REPEALED ALL of the Propaganda Laws. How many know this fact I wonder? So, the "KEY", I'm leaving for you, is the word "Intentional". I believe I left it in a post a few months ago. But I have no idea if anyone even reads my material anymore. I'm "blocked" from any and all notifications, on if I've received a "Like' or even a "Hate". I'm suspended from Twitter, going on 6 months now. Facebook has me almost totally isolated now. So, all I can really do, is hope that people bother to read anymore. Once in a rare while, a comment will slip through their algorithm. But it is rare. This not knowing anymore, is another powerful tool. I've mostly given up "warning" or even commenting anymore. Just as they wish. But I really have no choice. It gets too disheartening, thinking no one even listens anymore, or, that my opinion/thoughts/ideas, are so irrelevant and disliked, that people don't even bother to acknowledge them anymore, good or bad. And this, too, is as it was planned. "Likes" are a very power tool. One that has cost many of our youth, their lives, in fact. Just another story no one, whatsoever, is covering. See, PC has become so threatening, people are not voicing their thoughts anymore, if they have anything to do, with something that would go against the left. They know they will be attacked. Weaponized Progressivism. A Disease. THE most deadly, to ever face our Country. Mark Levin understands it. He's one who almost has 100% understanding. The only thing he's still missing, is the key. That this is Intentional. And it will NEVER stop on it's own. Ever. It will have to be utterly crushed, disavowed, and maybe even have laws developed, or old ones put back in place, (Propaganda laws), to make sure that NO PARTY, EVER, can hold control of these power institutions, again. Period. Because we are down to two ways to bring and end to this insanity. One, I list above, the other, is Civil War. Nothing short of one of these two options, will save our country. I wish there WAS another way. There is not. See, what will happen, if the above #1 fails? In all likelihood, will be the total and complete reversal of rolls, and an over-zealous, religious faction will arise, to counter the Godless one. And that can only lead to one place. #2. Sadly, we will never be able to just "re-introduce" God. The left will never allow it. They are already of a violent mindset. It's already in their game-plan, unlike most on the right, who actually do believe in God, and, therefore, do not, not unless it's a "last resort". The problem with this is, if it get's to the "Last Resort"? It's already too late. Once again, I apologize for this being so long. However, I just don't know how to box this all down, into 260 characters. Life is too complex, for mental miniaturization. Anyway. I hope someone reads this, and finds it useful. I do believe there is hope, and a chance to head this off still. Although, it is very late in the game, and the window on the first option, is closing fast. I believe our President sees...at least parts of this. It's why his tweets are so strong. he KNOWS that there is a, quite literally, "Clear and Present Danger". I can only hope, that soon, America will see it too. It's all I've ever wanted. For America to just SEE.

I think if people would take both the religious tradition and scientific advancements seriously, things would be much better. It is a both/and situation rather than either/or. Jordan Peterson's Bible lectures are a good example of meaningful secular interpretation of religious texts. I think what we desperately need is some explicit discussion on morality. As I see it, the biggest problem with reawakening western spirituality is that while people exist who are inclined to work on their inner development, most people will only ever do what they are told, and no one in power now will ever tell them to develop themselves. So, among the people who are working on inner development, they are working on many different lines, such as fundamentalist religious, libertarian, fascist, or whatever else, and there is no one as of yet that everyone else who is trying to learn to think is willing to listen to.

The Catholic faith has always held (explicitly so since acceptance of the great synthesis of St. Thomas Aquinas) that faith and reason are compatible, that there can be no contradiction between the two. While faith presents to us certain propositions of divine revelation that go beyond reason, this is not the same as saying that these propositions are in contradiction to reason. Furthermore, I strongly disagree with your use of the term "Dark Ages" which is an Enlightenment construct. It was the Catholic Church that preserved much of the intellectual heritage of classical antiquity, and that founded the modern university system, and almost all the first scientists were Catholic clerics (e.g., Gregor Mendel, an Augustinian monk, was the founder of modern genetics). I urge you to do more reading from ancient/early-modern authors and historical texts so as to free yourself from the "parochialism of time". Truly, the modern world knows nothing about anything that REALLY matters.

The problem with the Catholic church is that it made itself the gatekeeper of scientific inquiry. There was no incentive for individual thinking. Combine this with the caste-like organization of the Monarchies, and you ended up with a society that that was spiritually-rich but materially-stagnant. Protestantism allowed for an explosion of inventions and an exponential improvement in standard of living.
@jetrpg225 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but Jerome, Augustine, Leo X, and well most the popes and other church father's couldn't give a shit and just sought after earthly power. All the while subverting and debasing God's Word. Anyone who denies this is lying to themselves and God or ignorant thus not seeking truth very much. (I do get that a flock needs a good shepherd, and it was expected that man would need fellowships to follow God, but Revelations points out the reality of the Nicolations.)
@alphaomega2385 жыл бұрын
@@IndyDefense "No incentive for individual thinking"? The many Catholic clerics who were at the foundation of scientific inquiry would indicate otherwise. Catholicism simply attached greater importance to spiritual values than to materialistic ones. The obsession with capitalist wealth creation and material/technological advances as a sign of divine election that grew out of Protestantism has led to spiritual impoverishment and materialism.
@alphaomega2385 жыл бұрын
@@IndyDefense Honestly, I think that a society that is "spiritually rich but materially stagnant" is for the best in terms of producing a rich harvest of souls who receive salvation in Christ. Once our basic material needs are met, our focus should be on spiritual advancement (growth in holiness) by cooperating with God's grace in true religious practice (e.g., the good works emphasized by Christ in the parable of the Last Judgement in Matthew, chapter 25). That is why I think that the High Middle Ages were actually the high point of Western civilization (but most people are too blinded by attachment to material things to see that).

Read the Gospel, but avoid the priests. Meditate from what you read and from what you observed. Think by yourself, pray to God, avoid absolute certitude knowing that knowledge evolves as Science evolves. Be patient, spirituality is a lifelong journey.

The problem with faith is that it too quickly discourages question. The problem with rationality is that it too quickly falls apart due to too many questions.

I saw your video with E Michael Jones, and was pleased to hear that you're a baptized Catholic and have returned to the church, and you got married. So a double congratulations are in order. You're very bright, but remember...God gave us intellects, but we are not our intellects.... it's much closer to the truth of ontological personhood to say that WE ARE OUR HEARTS. That's the answer in the final analysis.......to pray and pray and pray unceasingly so that our hearts become filled with Christ through His church....and don't forget to raise a family of devout Catholics. You already know the answers to your concerns. You answered your own questions, YES, A RETURN TO CHRISTIAN FAITH IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY, and even though I sense a deep uncertainty in you, or a deep lonliness(although I don't know why a deep lonliness since you are recently married), if I may offer you some advice, start to prayerfully ask what it is that PERSONALLY HAUNTS YOU. put aside the big questions regarding the fate of our Western Civilization for awhile. It seems to me, and I wanted to say your name....Jane or Liz et al, then I realized I don't know your true name. Anyway, it seems to me that because you are so intellectually smart, it's working against you because you OVER THINK the cultural problems and possible solutions. This can lead to despair. I follow some Catholic VLOGS like CM.COM, TnT, the Remnant et al, but the thing that I find missing in these otherwise fine and faithful networks is an intimate knowledge of Original Sin which of course is our fundamental tragedy even though to paraphrase you, rampant Individuality is no laughing matter. God bless.

To make spiritual belief normal and acceptably you have to look at people who were successfully able to do such things. Albert and Victoria were able to re popularize tradition by showing how they celebrated Christmas. A great authoress that I cannot recall the name of was also able to successfully reinvigorate such traditions in America. I do think you are on the right track. The trend away from spiritual belief is the decisive problem. That is why I am trying to write a novel about the struggle of spirituality. I personally find it easier to craft a story where I understand the variables even so it is not easy. Mind you what we really we need are competent authors such as C. S. Lewis or Tolkien. Men more specifically like Tolkien who understand spirituality well enough that they can persuasively say spiritual things without relying on cliches.

I've been attempting something similar (also looking up to Lewis and Tolkien, of course), and it is difficult. The subtlety required in order to not be "pushy" is hard to balance with making sure that the message actually gets across, and that particular theme has to fit in seamlessly with the rest of the story. The biggest problem right now, however, is that I've realized I don't know enough about Pagan witchcraft :\ I can only hope that the local library has what I need in the history section, because I'd rather not search for it on the internet (goodness knows what I'd come across), and I refuse to *buy* a book on Pagan witchcraft. I hope your novel succeeds!

I disagree in general. The West has not lost it's god. It has simply found a new one. Where religious collectivism has waned, political collectivism has taken its place. The sense of purpose is identical (i.e. that which is derived from conflict) because they are both borne of something much, much older than civilisation itself - tribalism. The Greco-Roman era was the first significant swing away from our primitive selves; the Enlightenment was the second. Both eras catapulted Mankind's ability to build civilisations that actively improve the human condition and elevate us as a species. Collectivism, such as religious dogma, are what's holding us back from our potential. Every time we advance as a species, it is because of a shift towards individual potential. Yes, there is strength in numbers, but there is no progress. This is a difficult paradox to accept - that which gives us our most powerful sense of purpose (collectivist conflict) is exactly that which antagonises our potential to adapt and improve as a species (individual excellence).

After watching the latest talk between Roosh and E.Michael Jones I'm optimistic for the first time in a the last years. The power of the Logos is too strong. If we return to Christianity (real Christianity, Catholic or Orthodox, not Protestantism which is a protest against Christianity and its values) we will make it once again
