Seriously. I really don't understand it. All his videos are so brilliant, and it's totally the type of content that should resonate a lot with music producers, of which there are a lot on YT. Surely it's only a matter of time before the masses discover him and he blows up, though. And when that time comes I'm gonna be an insufferable, gatekeepy old fan to the new fans. I'm gonna say stuff like "You're not a real fan if you weren't here when he released this and that video", and generally be an annoying dude. I'm really not looking forward to it, but someone has to be that guy, and it might as well be me.

you can actually stack instruments using racks, in the rack you hit the show chains button, make a new chain, and put the new instrument there

Nice video :D A few tips: (update: added a few more) • [Shift+Tab] to switch between the channels effects and the currently selected clip. • [A] to switch automation view • [ctrl+E] to split a clip • holding [shift], [ctrl] or [alt] while scrolling to resize stuff. (e.g. hover your mouse over a channel and alt+scroll to shrink it) • When recording while loop is on: you can just "extend" the clip further back afterwards! It doesn't get overwritten :) • Using [ctrl+D] to quickly duplicate whatever is in your current selection, can speed things up a bit (even works with automation envelopes!) • The grid size can be increased with [ctrl+1], decreased with [ctrl+2] and switched to triplet mode with [ctrl+3] • also just in general, when you hover over things with your mouse, it will (almost) always have a description in the info thingy in the lower left corner • [0] toggles, wether the channel/clip/effect is ative or not • [ctrl+f] to search through ALL effects, samples, instruments, etc. • [s] turns on solo playback for the current channel

To add to the loop recording and recording in general, u can open up Take lanes by right clicking the track and selecting Show take lanes or just pressing ctrl + alt + U. That way u can just simply see each take (and listen to them by pressing the speaker icon on each lane) and select a section + press enter to commit that to the main track :) On ableton (11+) u can always record over anything and everything will be saved in take lanes, both audio and midi

fun tip: press ctrl comma to open preferences. from there you can make it look cooler at the theme and colours section :) also, set default warp mode to complex in warp setting for better and easier warping

When you were recording solos and the loop rerecorded over your previous ones, all you have to do to get everything you've recorded is to extend the clip from the start. I doesn't record over, just continues recording at the loop point.

Converted to Cubase a year ago. It's like FL Studio with all ableton and reaper features and it is super stable and professional.

i've basically done that too, in my journey i've found that cubase is the best DAW (for me at least, also lmao i used the word "same" instead of "best") i haven't tried nuendo since it's supposedly for post-production but from what i can tell it basically is@@KyleTheLandon

same hear iam going on my 5th year using ableton i skipped 11 tho and partially used the 12 beta but it missed some features or i couldnt figured it out now it feels like i have to learn a whole new daw with 12 but its still familer to me they really patched up 12 real good compared to the beta
