6:08 Some plugins have to be installed on the computers drive. Some will work on an external SSD too. I run 90% of my stuff off an external SSD. When you install anything, 99% of the time, you're getting a choice of a "Drive" to install it to, not necessarily just to the internal drive on the computer you're working on. Sound packs can be put anywhere, I put all mine on my external SSD and tell it to search like you mentioned.

As far as the plugins, I didn't have to refresh. As soon as it was downloaded, it was in my new plugin folder. Crazy update, BTW. Great content, guys 👍🏾

Yeah. FL Studio 24 is amazing! As someone who started on Fruity Loops 2.0 in 1999/2000, the improvements to this suite of software are amazing! And the free updates for life is just icing on the cake!

The "Reset selected channels to Default" shortcut is done by pressing E on the keyboard after you right-click to open the menu

I almost don’t ever fuck with software that doesn’t let you define your own keyboard bindings because you’ll spend half a year learning their unique crap and who knows if you’ll still use whatever software in the future so it’s like time efficiently we don’t have enough hours in a day to learn unique shortcuts for every software

@larryohh when you install a plugin from the cloud you don't have to refresh in the plugin manager. You can just install them use. No middle step

And studio one put out a big update with one new plugin, a shitty synth thing LOL! I put FL on the shelf for a while because it was so crashy on my M1, I installed this update today and it’s pretty freakin slick, a lot of UI improvements and workflow stuff, the stuff that MATTERS. Like mouse scroll doesn’t nudge your clips now that used to F me up . Navigating around is pretty dope. Watching this vid I’ll deep dive into it later

Yo when I tell you I have not sleep much since this dropped. So the new update caused few issues for me I own UVI already its like Kontak so the new plugin they gave me was the paino and it caused my uvi x64 vst to crash witch I could not open NO project that I used UVI x64 vst witch is most projects cus that plugin caused the session to crash when opening.

no i have fl and my plugins on an external ssd drive it can be done... you just create a folder on the external ssd drives. then open the folder and down load fl studio into that folder

I'll be honest real quick. I been using a cracked version of fl for the longest. But I recently was blessed enough to be in a financial position to purchase the producer version and make an honest daw out of FL. So now, I can open the projects I started with the cracked version and even edit / add/ remove plugins all the good stuff. However, every time I try to either consolidate a track off the playlist or straight up render to wav/mp3, I get the wheel of death. It's like FL can detect that these projects weren't started with an original version of the software. I've been trying for days now with no success. Anyone knows how I can get around this? I don't want to have to re-mix all these projects that would take me months!

Technically speaking, We FL Mobile users got the "Spreader" effect before desktop did and tbh it's only useful and noticeable if you know how to use it- and quite honestly that thing is fackin hard to use on the technical side of things 😭

If you are already using 1/8 th notes in the piano roll you will not here the difference........as your high hats are already playing as if they are repeated...... because the note repeater start with half notes at the 1st grid it will go upto 1/32 or 1/64ths I guess.....so have space between the high hats and then apply note repeat to any one note
