Kuch Ankahi: Dude. Aaliya is not “enjoying it” or “leading on” both men. This episode is where she begins realising what Salman said about Asfar being interested in her might be turning out to be true. It was pretty apparent from her expressions and her conversation with Allah Miya that Sehrish and Asfar’s sudden and aggressive hinting at their intention towards her caught her by complete surprise. Her silence on the unfolding situation was not to “lead on” Asfar or “enjoy” her “that girl” moment, but because she was mentally grasping the situation and approaching it with caution as her character consistently does with everything else. At this point, it is beyond obvious that her romantic feelings are towards Salman. Her equation with Asfar is platonic, and that too is visibly clear.
@ro2974 Жыл бұрын
YES ❤ I feel like Aaliya by nature is cautious and one to deliberate. You can't tell what she's feeling without prying it out of her. Her not saying anything doesn't mean she's in agreement or holds any feeling. I don't know how I feel about Asfer just showing up at her house. Even Aaliya looked bewildered in that moment by his appearance. His convo with her in the elevator was grossly presumptuous and felt demeaning towards Salman like Asfer holds more significance to Aaliya and her family when clearly, Aaliya's relationship with both of these men is vastly different. I think she was confused before about her feelings for Salman but I don't think she was ever confused because of Asfer. I personally believe she was confused with what she felt for someone she's known for years (v love-hate for these two with their rivalry 😂❤) and how their relationship has developed unknowingly into something more.
@shavee_ Жыл бұрын
@@ro2974 Precisely. From Aaliya’s POV, Asfar has never been a point of contention in her and Salman’s equation. I believe a huge part of her reluctance to confess her feelings for Salman stems from witnessing his personal insecurities in regards to Asfar and how they influenced his behaviour and thoughts towards her. Ironically, had it not been for Salman’s constant concern with Asfar, Aaliya might already have given him the sign of commitment he so wants from her.
@ro2974 Жыл бұрын
@@shavee_Exactly, I think ultimately Salman and Aaliya just needed communication (Salman) and trust (Aaliya). Salman is willing to confront his insecurities and express his emotions whereas Aaliya is cautious and wants trust but doesn't understand that communication leads to trust too. They're running in circles wanting the same thing for each other. I think this next episode is going to be pivotal especially if Aaliya is told that Salman is possibly leaving. I wrote a comment here beforehand about my thoughts, but I'm simultaneously excited and nervous for this week's episode.

KA: I just love everything about KA...this was another feel good episode. It brought me different emotions... So much to appreciate about KA First of all, I'll give a huge applause to Mohammad ahmad sahab for writing this gem of a drama with so much integrity and nuances. He indeed is a great writer. 👏👏 1. I absolutely loved samiya in this episode, Mira sethi has brought so much grace to this character. I have a newfound love for samiya. When she goes to see shagufta, even without saying much she still says everything. Loved the scene. Then her conversation with her mother about celebrating every little happiness that comes our way. It was emotional❣I didn't even realize my eyes were wet and when she started talking to her father, my tears welled up. She has now developed self-love and confidence. Love when she says "meri pehli baar khud se dosti huyi hai". 2. Again, an emotional scene, when shakeel tells taniya about his insecurities and how she has inspired him and has made him a confident person. And now shakeel is giving her the courage and support she needs. 3. I like how asfar and sehrish both want aliya to be a part of their family and sehrish eve tried her best to make aliya's mind for asfar. Sajal's expressions in both situations were amazing, clearly showed her uncomfortableness and her confusion. 4. Salman and phuppo's exchange takes the cake❣ yar bilal as salman is such a cutie. Love the way he says "main thoda zyada good looking hun" and I was like "yessss" 😄 also agree with phoppo salman is a perfect husband material. Kuch Ankahi is gem of this era. The writing and the direction is top notch. Kudos to Mohammad ahmad sahab and nadeem baig for their out class work. Will miss KA for sure.❤

What happened with Samiya is very realistic as many girls do marry under that pressure. However, if they showed Saif changing and them living happily, it would have been a very dangerous message to give. It would tell women to marry despite all explicit red flags, and give qurbanis in the hope that one day everything will be okay. That might happen in rare cases, however it shouldn't be done. In real life too, people tell girls to compromise and stay quiet and tolerate to make their marriages work. I mean why tell a human being to go through all that suffering at the cost of their dignity. It's about time we don't glorify such suffering for women. One shouldn't enter into a relationship with a walking red flag with the hopes to 'fix' him. You can't fix a grown man. And u definitely can't fix a mama's boy who has no agency of his own.

Did Aliya know that Sehrish was sending her for a job with Azfar for personal reasons to improve family relations? She shows no emotions when Sehrish says her motive for sending her had almost been fulfilled. I thought it was an insult for any girl who is a thorough professional. Aliya likes both boys but is not emotionally involved with any of them. She is more engrossed in her family problems, specially the house matter. Salman knows her well and knows that Azfar is capable of solving her problem and so sees no chance for him, nor wants to come in her way. But the best part was Samiya finally finding her worth and satisfaction.

KA: I also hope to see more of Salman but if I'm honest, I liked his character and the ways in which he's intertwined with Aaliya and her family both in subtle and explicit ways. He doesn't need to be there in every scene for you to see and understand the love, respect and trust he has with this family. It's something that run deeps even if it's not always the most direct (kuch ankahi). In terms of the track, I appreciate that Salman is choosing to leave. Like you said, I think it's fine if Aaliya is taking her time to choose and doesn't want to commit. At the same time, I think it's fair if Salman is choosing to bow out out of respect for himself and Aaliya. She's giving an indirect answer whether she believes it or not. Aaliya, while being headstrong and brave, isn't someone who prefers emotional confrontation, which literally been the core issue in the Asfer-Aaliya-Salman track. If they are going to conclude Aaliya's track, I hope they do it in the best way possible with no loose ends. This love triangle is reminiscent of the love triangle of Phupo with her husband and Adil (Salman's uncle) + Thanvi too 😆 There are parallels, so I'm curious to see how Aaliya responds. I often feel like even the viewers have a hard time understanding what is going on in Aaliya's mind and emotional landscape. I'm a bit nervous about the next episode because I can't believe Salman is leaving with his mom. He's assuming Aaliya's indirect answer and ultimately choosing to leave. I think it's sad but also I don't want to see him in a Saad like situation. In my opinion, I found Aaliya to be more confused and tense with her exchange with Asfer and Sehrish respectively. I didn't think she looked endeared. In my opinion, Aaliya isn't someone who you can read like an open book from her expressions. If it were that easy, we wouldn't have Salman waiting for an answer 😅 She speaks her mind but when it comes to her emotions and being vulnerable wholly, she's a bit selective and less open. You have to pry it out of her. It seems that now Aaliya, if she truly loves Salman and has chosen him, will need to be the one to affirm and confront rather than the other way around. I also disagree with some comments about Salman's entitlement and nice guy syndrome. From the first episode, with the narrator telling us how their paths have crossed multiple times as life is trying to show something to Salman and Aaliya, we know they have a history - something that runs deeper unbeknownst to both of them as well as to us, the viewers. Salman and Aaliya were both passive aggressive at different times and honestly, I think it's human. We respond to jealousy and we mess up, but we learn, accept, and apologize. He doesn't act like he's entitled to Aaliya, but rather he knows that there is something between them that he would like to cement or at least get an answer from Aaliya about whether she reciprocates his feelings. I think their relationship has been undergoing tests and trials of learning how to love the other person in the way they need + want and what that entails.

I also agree that Aaliya was visible dumbfound and uncomfortable with the indirect talks of asfar and shehrish and she in no way looked flattered. She was dodging asfar's multiple attempts of self inviting himself. I think fuchsia does a way better reviewing of KA than SH. Aamna and Hassan don't seems to be that interested in dwelling deep into characters like Rabia and shahzia. They both analyse KA the same way they analyse TB. They think just because Asfar is good looking and rich Aaliya is flattered because they are flattered. KA is one of the few shows that has a very intelligent writing which shows the complex emotions of humans and none can be put in a black or white compartment. Saif is a very complex character but they rarely talk about him. These two talk more about asfar's wardrobe than saif's extremely messed up mind. He is same as those woman that think it's fine to be physically abused by their husbands. It's hard to put sense into people that are used to being abused by people they love.
@ro2974 Жыл бұрын
@@vp98215 Oh, thank you for mentioning for Fuschia! I'll check them out ☺️ I feel like SH covers the same topic of the love triangle every time they review KA but just because you see chemistry or compatability doesn't mean there's actual attraction. I would have loved if they talked more about Saif and the way in which abuse has affected his own approach to love and being loved. Similarly it would be great if they could delve more into the characters like Aaliya and Salman without always narrowing into the love triangle. There is so much to look at beyond romance, ya know? It gets boring after a while. How do you feel about Asfer and his character arc so far? I'm curious to see how Aaliya responds in this next episode especially if she's told that Salman is leaving.
@vp98215 Жыл бұрын
@@ro2974 fuchsia reviews KA really well. They give equal importance to all the storylines and talk about KA for atleast 20-25mins. They don't only care about the love triangle or the wardrobe of characters. Saif as a character is the most complex male character in the show and one of the most unique one. Asfar as a character is not a bad guy but is a very cliche character that don't go with the flow of the drama. The typical rich arrogant guy with a sad past that suddenly changes when a pretty girl enters his life. A character that we see in every other drama. I also don't like how Aaliya is kept as a mystery just to move the love triangle forward. It makes her look fickle minded and unsure about it but she isn't. The fact that she demands blind trust from Salman itself shows she don't have any sort of romantic feelings for asfar. If she did she would be a hypocrite to demand trust from Salman. She has her mind set and had q perfect plan which was make the mottiwalas a family again, get money from shehrish solve her family problems and committ to salman. Her father also knows she likes salman and that would have never happened if she didn't love salman or was unsure about him. She talks to phupho about salman as if they are already in a relationship and complains about him like an irritated gf. Aagaji and phupho are the ones that understand Aaliya the most and the entire house behaves as if Salman and Aaliya are together. Aaliya herself calls salman her family. If she was fickle minded or indecisive or trying to play with both the guys she wouldn't have called salman her family.

Lol your comments about designer wear and adding that to a star Aura was quite superficial 😆. Because first it’s cause of your Talent and skills you become a star and then later attending ceremonies and endorsements & all, you do indulge in glamour! Look at Khushal Khan, even without all the glamour, like it’s provided to Haroon Kadwani…..Khushal is a Powerful performer and a brilliant actor! That’s the making of a Star! Left watching Jhoom because the added glamour was Not enough to lift it up :)

There was this very interesting and enjoyable conversation between phuppi and Salman............which kind of tells us that the whole family is "camp Salman" {except the mother maybe) and hence it is Salman who will walk away with his love!!! To make things a little difficult for Salman, Azfar is going to walk in to the family and see if he can make a space for himself!!!

Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri is an enchanting masterpiece, propelled by the incredible performances of its young cast. Their acting prowess shines brightly, drawing us into a mesmerizing tale that tugs at our heartstrings. With a natural chemistry and genuine portrayals of Khushhal and Dananeer they bring their characters to life, capturing the essence of youthful love and its accompanying highs and lows. This captivating drama leaves an indelible mark, showcasing the exceptional talent and charisma of these budding stars. The family dynamics is also incredible, especially Saims parents bring forth a balanced ideology.

Kuch Ankhai is so refreshing, Good story telling, very responsible writing and good direction. I don’t think Aliya is leading on, at this point she trying to understand what is happening. I think she is confused and trying to figure it out.

Kuch Ankahi is my top favorite drama these days. It's probably the only one I watch without skipping. About Muhabbat Gumshuda, I think Khushhal is doing a tremendous job and Dananeer is doing well too but I'm not as invested in the story as Kuch Ankahi or Jhok Sarkar as it didn't hook me as much for some unknown reason. I skip some of it and watch just major scenes. But in the recent episode I looooved hearing the song "Tu ne Mujh ko kia dia" by Shuja Haider. It's one of his finest songs and one of my most favorite OSTs of Pak dramas. It's the OST of the hum tv drama "To dil ka kia hua" the drama was great as well.

41:14 Hassan you don't have to be sorry... Agha ji is the kind of father every child wishes to have who supports his child always... How much ever the father in dramas has supported his children but there are some points where their trust in the child is a little bit shaken up... But here until this point, I don't think so anything as such has happened...
@ktanya1705 Жыл бұрын
50:10 I beg to differ on your point... She might end up not choosing anyone because according to her she is different and she doesn't find Salman different like her and Azfar also, I don't think so is different yet for her...

It is misleading to say that she is salvaging a bad marriage. It was the duty of the parents to stop a bad marriage from happening in the first place. The marriage should not have happened in the first place. It is all the parent’s fault.

MGM: is a teenage Romeo and Juliet love story but nothing new except cute, teenage hero/ heroine. Jhoom is good but no intrigue factor. Kuch Ankhai is interesting I am rooting for Salman, much better writing. Very woman empowering, mother's with three or more girls in our society are like Mrs Bennet of pride and prejudice trying to get the girls married as soon as possible, yes its more realistic and Samiya is dealing with her problem with dignity keeping her head high. She is trying to make the marriage work and parents are supportive is good. The sass is medaling but not evil. I think Aaliya is very strong and assured of her self is attracting both men ,she is not leading anyone on but her confidence is exuding attraction for men :). I love a confident heroine high time!! Tiered of girls (heroine) getting slapped and crying compromising her values ,self respect dignity or evil modern woman with no morals or fickle minded. 👏

KA… We know for certain that Aliya will be with Salman in the end. For those of us who love the jodi of Asfar & Aliya, we feel like we are missing out & are disappointed they will not end up together so to anyone out there with a beautiful, romantic script can you please give it to Sheheryar & Sajal. Their chemistry is AMAZING & we NEED to see more of them as a couple. I to like Amna love a great love story.❤ Love the casting of Amna’s biopic, it’s going to be a blockbuster…😂

In case of Samiya.. instead of getting married investing her own life, money and time in a marriage where she knew everything about mother in law and Saif. She would have become financially independent at her own house and fought for her own rights. Coz Aliya did tell samiya that she would support her. And say NO to marriage. SINGAL / UNMARRIED tag is way better than the tag of Divorce/ seperated.

I agree with Amnah about MGM. Everyone loves a light hearted cute love story and Khushal and Dananeer are a treat to watch. Another reason for me to watch this drama is that I have 2 teenage boys as well and its so good to see a story from their pov. We rarely see dramas in pakistan focusing on teenage characters and parents like us need to see and learn their perspective too. Balkay sirf parents he nahi sab ko yeh samjhnay ki zarorat hai bcos teenage is the most complex and important phase of an individual's life yet most of us don't even know how to deal with kids going through that phase. So MGM is a much needed step in the right direction ❤

There two point of views about Kuch Ankhai, it is indeed better than other dramas as you said BUT dramas should aim to show ideal things as well. For example, Samia has been pushed by her mother a lot to get into a relationship, knowing such BIG red flags she didn’t have to give her 100 percent to prove that she has agency why women have to be crushed why women have to just try! May be if not this rishta they could have waited a bit May be a better person was worth all these efforts! I like your theory about the opposites-ness anti go and then a solution.

Kuch Ankahi: Amna's attempts to defend Aliya's potential two-timing is getting irksome now. This woman is weighing her options with motives that are not so wholesome. If a man was doing it, Amna would be leading from the front in ridiculing him. The double standards are seriously annoying.
@vp98215 Жыл бұрын
The thing is Aaliya is not even weighting on two options. For her there is no options as it's clear where her heart lies. If it's evident to her father that she likes salman she has to be that obvious. Her father understands all his daughters very well and if she even thinks of accepting asfar her father will clearly know the reason behind it and will stop her.

Imagine Murtazim marrying Haya for revenge. He will tell her on her wedding night that she will die without knowing what it feels like to be loved by her husband ❤❤❤.
