Good point. AMZN entered car sales and CVNA stock dropped 10%. Then CVNA stock up 600% as Amazon didn’t do much.

Thanks. I do think Amazon is more serious about this offer, but it'll be similar in terms of having little impact on leaders.

Good video Roy as always. Also loved the live discussion yesterday on HIMS with you and Tevis. I have a number of things to say and KZbin comments allow only few sentences, so I may enter a few comments. Back a year ago the growing marketing expense troubled investors (and kept the stock around $3-$7 for a while). I mention it cause if this expense will reduce the margins can get even higher. So, it would be interesting to see if marketing expense will stay as they are, perhaps even go higher to battle with Amazon. My point though is: At some point when HIMS will get more established this expense will start going down, bringing margins back higher. (continued in my next comment...)
@Kross_Roads-g4jАй бұрын
Interesting point. Yes, marketing spend will go up due to new products and NY potential with weight loss, but if it really spikes hard that might be a signal of stress from AMZN. Interesting.

One last comment here is actually a suggestion: I'll MUCH appreciate a video from you on "if you had only 3 picks for growth companies to hold for 10 yrs, who would you pick". I'm not asking for advice, I'm really interested where your convictions truly lie. For example: I know you're so big on PLTR - great. But when it comes to SOFI, NU, FOUR, HIMS - where your convictions actually are. I will also appreciate some risk/reward comparison. Again, just interested in your perspective, not advise. Also, mentioned in a comment to a previous video, will appreciate a video on the "best case potential" you see in these stocks: How big can NU/SOFI/HIMS get in 10 yrs assuming all goes best?

Thank you for the great insight! Maybe I am wrong but RFK seems to me more like a threat to GLP 1 from an insurance coverage stand point whereas Hims is selling GLP 1 without insurance so I would say it’s even bullish for Hims. In regards to Amazon it seems that their offer on ED and Hair loss is with insurance coverage, so maybe a major distinction with Hims offer. Thanks again for your input and added value!
@Kross_Roads-g4jАй бұрын
Thank you. Unless I am missing something, the prices on Amazon are without insurance, though they do accept it as well.
@stanimirkoАй бұрын
@ From what I understand the pay-per-visit is without insurance, this is clearly stated but as for the medication itself : « Common ED medications Your Amazon One Medical provider will determine which (if any) erectile dysfunction medication is appropriate for you based on your symptoms and health history. If you're prescribed medication, pick it up at a pharmacy of your choice. Choose Amazon Pharmacy for free delivery and transparent Prime pricing. The cost of your prescribed medication may be covered by health insurance. » So to me it is not clear if their advertised prices are with or without insurance

HIMS have proven its ability to innovate, to grow and with speed, so I trust Dudum to "handle" the fact Amazon is entering. I would worry about RFK more than I worry about Amazon. While I don't "fear him", he has a reputation of someone who can wreak havoc in that industry. I don't know that he will. I actually think he won't. I don't think he wants to disturb healthcare so much and there will be enough resistance even if he tried (and lets even see him getting confirmed in the first place). But even so ... HIMS can somehow become a beneficiary cause his fights are with the giants , not with HIMS. But yes... that can be challenging.
@Kross_Roads-g4jАй бұрын
It's murky right now, at least to me, how RFK will play out.

I got in recently after earning. I averaged down yesterday and today still my average is 22.9. I believe the company has enough differentiation to grow well in near term. Hope I don’t end up a bag holder for long. Will add my last shares if it dips below 17 and ride till next two quarters and assess. Thank you for sharing your insights. Very helpful

I got in just below 14, doubled at 16.7, and then some after the earnings. As the stock was shooting up to 30, I had that feeling "why didn't I buy more". Now the chance has been given. This business is expected to be volatile during news, but give it a few quarters and follow the results.

I don't understand how a brand for a pharmacy who doesn't produce unique products can be seen as a moat, so Amazon offering these for lower will impact the company right?
@Kross_Roads-g4jАй бұрын
Hims does produce unique products. But yes, Amazon will impact non-personalized growth which will likely be down to 30% of their subscriptions next year, as personalized outperforms. See my most recent post on X, and a very lengthy one coming on Monday.

Sold some Puts at 23 for 11/22, if it has one more red day I'll sell some more. If it dips down to 15, it's Call options time. Management is guiding to 20% EBIDTA by 2030, so that's what I'm modeling on. Pencil in 30% growth through that time, and we're looking at about $5 EBITDA/Share. A 10X from $15 is not unreasonable if they meet that.
