But I'm still hoping so bad that Alain gets his victory removed for working with the villains and then has a rematch with Ash. In my personal opinion, episode 41 debunked this. It showed that we still have incredible episodes provided, full of drama and distress, without Serena screaming "Satoshi" in desperation every 10 seconds. Episode 41 made me cry more than Bye Bye Butterfree, and I enjoyed all the battles more than any Amourshipping moment

I think I know how ash is going to leave kalos and how Serena convinces him to let her go with her. Picture this: Ash, about to board plane: Well guys, I guess this is it. It's been great traveling with you, and I hope we meet again someday. Serena is crying a little at this point. Ash turns and starts walking towards the plane, but Serena: Ash! Don't leave me here without you!! Ash: What? Turning around as he says that, Serena, with a facial expression of sadness and love, tackles Ash, dropping both to the ground, while at the same time, kissing him. After the kiss: Ash: S-serena? One answer: yes. This is probably the only thing that at least get some focus and pretty much the reason we saw Satoshi's backstory (not that it is essentially important to the narrative other than the Satoshi and Serena themselves). Also, this pairing at least make a good direction for the series to go on. Such decision is really risky if the crew just dropped the pairing... affecting the overall ratings. After all, this is not Detective Conan (where anything that had happened there lasted for ONE year), as it focused on adventure. Greninja would probably be receiving a certain Z-Move [Hydro Vortex, as far as I could remember] from Z-1 giving off its power to it for some reason.

to be honest, I will still watch it even if Amourshipping does not become canon since I have been watching Pokemon since the original series first started and even in Cartoon Networks dark ages, Pokemon has always been that light of hope to help me not to give up. I never abandon cause even if Black and White was the stupidest one of all, the other seasons still kept me interested (mostly Sinnoh and Kalos being my more favorite ones) I will take it over than what 4kids has done to Yu-gi-oh after 5D's.

I *WANT* this. I went *BERSERK* when Ash lost in the finals,. I was ready to punch babies and kick puppies, all of that hype, build-up, and development for him to finally win and you make him lose to some guy who didn't even care about the league in the first place?!? But regardless I've considerably calm down since than and I don't get mad enough to punch a whole in the wall at the mere thought of Ep.38 anymore. But I've never lost hope for Amour or the XY series as a whole. *DESPITE* that loss, I still love XY and think it's the best Pokémon series yet, I was going to watch the Team Flare arc regardless *(Even when I didn't want to because I want to see this series through to the end)*, and I didn't lose a *SINGLE* ounce of hope for amour. Right now Amour is the one big thing we have left in XY, so now all I can do is *HOPE* that amour is taken in the right direction because XY has made the fans *VERY* vocal this time around. The team flare AND amourshipping both need to be good to bring back XYZ. The major outcome people want is for Ash to be saved by Serena just so he can save the world and TAKE THE CHAMPION TITLE from Alain. Not only do the writers have to make a plot twist that explains the finals, but Serena grew too attached to the fandom. The fact that Serena has a canonical crush on Ash and is shy about it is what engages people just waiting to see when the slipup happens. I noticed this, but it could go canon for certain reasons: 1) Serena looks like she saves Ash meaning Ash can get a crush. 2) She was portrayed as shy when it comes to it. Remember all the shows where the person that ends uo winning the boy/girl friend is usually the one that is shy about it instead of completely straightforward. 3) The writers are waiting for the climax... The writers could not have made amourshipping canon during the xy season or up to xyz 28 because then the team flare arc would not have the same amount of intensity. 4) Serena is the savior of the anime... she legitimately brought back so many people just to see her because she recently became the most popular pokegirl- She's good looking among fans, has a good personality, cute backstory and obvious crush on someone we never expected to have a girl crazy for him. 5) Legit, if they get rid of her, the anime will lose more than half of their viewers. The viewers give then money and just leaving her and not letting her be with Ash until the end of time or a reboot would cause MAJOR mayhem and an even worse result than the hate of xyz 38 because not many will watch and the ratings will show that it was a bad show in the end. That's my rant and the reasons why Amourshipping has to work out for the anime to even make it out in one piece.
