A friend of mine went to a wedding with 4 of his friends. on the way home, the car engine seized up. They were near a supermarket car park, but some distance from home. they had tools with them and all 4 guys are mechanics, so they literally pulled the engine out in the car park and overhauled it right there. while they were waiting for the auto engineers to sort out head and crank etc, They ate from the supermarket, used the bathroom there and slept in the car or near it!. engine was assembled and put into the car, off they went ! Life is different these days !

The dry desert climate has been kind to that 49 Ford. Amazing that it runs so well. Fix the stuck water-pump, put fresh oil in it and she'll run like a champ.

My grandmother left me an immaculate 1 owner garage kept fully serviced for life 1953 4dr Ford Customline w/ the 239v8 3 on the tree and underdash overdrive pull. When l got the car in the early 80s it still ran and drove as new w/ 60k on the odometer. Sadly it was stolen in waco texas in the 90s and completely stripped of all chrome including the cool v8 brass dash badge pin and every vital component. They always steal the 4 dr.s that are nice to make 2 dr.s. Two door cars are for people w/ no family or friends. Love the channel. RIP Baby Blue, she cruised like a silent ghost down the highway.

Yeah, and it was Texaco that said, "you can trust your car to the man who wears the star". It was a 1960s commercial.

When I was a kid there must have three or four of that series Ford on every block. They were every where. My parents had a 50 Ford and I remember the push button start. Have fun getting those water pumps off, the bolt inside the water pump inlet, often folks just broke the water pump off to get that bolt out because they corrode so bad. I like the sign, Great video,

Besides my favorite 47-50 Plymouth Gassers from the 1960s, Shoe Boxes make for great Gassers as well. Just simply a great design and look. They're also beautiful as original/stock or slammed or as a low rider. Very versatile. I can't disregard Travis, of course, but it's nice to see Rick "Sam Elliot" Blades on the scene. He's a #1 Dad! He's what America should be. And...Waylon Jennings approved.. That goes to both to all y'all..

My neighbor has a 92 manual Cummins Ram250 that he bought new... It has over 1.3 million miles on its factory engine... He just put it's third transmission in it last month, but that truck is nearly perfect, but it has been a 'work truck' it's whole life...! It's been on a six inch lift and 35" tires since the first month that he owned it...! I love that truck and I'm not a Dodge guy at all...! I prefer the quality of 70s Chevys...!!! Thanks for sharing, keep up your awesomeness...!
