Is Will Anderson a rookie DPOY candidate this year? 🤔
@Mark-h2j5r11 ай бұрын
Jalen Carter is the favorite along with Devon Witherspoon but Anderson is probably 3rd right now

@user-tg5nj5mt8s I'd have to agree with Joey Porter starting to really come on strong, I like Anderson but his stats aren't great, I get he effects the game ,I really haven't got to see a whole lot, looks like he's close on ALOT of sacks, and eventually his numbers will shoot up, id probably put Witherspoon 1 still though

Will Anderson is already getting Micah Parsons type respect. His presence alone has improved the Texans defense tremendously. Between what he and CJ are doing, the 2024 1st rounder given up to draft Will may fall way out of the top 10.

Look like hes getting good coaching. His stance in college looked off and didnt look like he could bend around the corner. He looks great, explosive and attacks the edge at full speed.

2 things he’s doing that rookie ends struggle with against the run. 1) he clearly watched a lot of tape and knew when the run was coming and had a delayed get off to not fall behind the play by getting too deep. 2) he is SETTING THE EDGE! It’s not glamorous but it WINS GAMES

To be real I think will anderson so op he hurt our own tackles in camp before season started lmao! Possibly reason why we have 10 injured linemen at once lol Dude gets other players sacks and plenty of pressure and doubles teams and already couple triple teams. Elite in the rune as well. His sacks will come in bunches. We need more of a good strong side to give anderson more sacks. Right now he is pretty much setting up the other players for sacks with the pressure and double teams.

People who think sacks are the end all be all are so goofy considering 10+ sacks in a seasons puts you on the map in this league. Maxx crosy got like 12-13 sacks last season and it made him a STAR. If you hit pressure the qb you pressure the qb. Which we've seen him do on and off. He's doing fine. Not DESTROYED but nothing is just as crazy of a statement
