As a Steelers fan, the difference between the two is that Lamar folds in big games and has had a stout defense pretty much every year except this year while Burrow doesn't. Had the Cowboys came back and beat the Ravens, no one would have blamed Lamar on here, it would have been all about the defense for a 2nd straight week, took their foot off the opps necks and let them back in the game.

I didn't believe Lamar had an actual shot at a bowl with Greg Roman there because no even Patty Mahomes was going to win when your OC mainly has 2/3 FB and HB's on like every play and 2 or more TE every play. I don't even want to talk about receivers. Not saying Mar is perfect at all which is why I said not much to disagree. But even then I hear Lamar is injury prone but they don't say the same for other more injured QB's. I appreciate the consistency from Shannon. He's right. Despite the stats, Joe Burrow didn't do enough to win the game. They use stats to shield certain QBs from criticism after a loss but blame other QBs for losses regardless of their stats. In 2020, before suffering a season-ending injury, Dak was on pace for 6000 yds and 40+ TDs, but Stephen A and others in the media belittled his individual performance because the team record was just 2-3. But they constantly make excuses for guys like Joe Burrow/Josh Allen/Justin Herbert when their teams lose. They claim that the elite QBs can carry teams to Ws even with a flawed supporting cast. But they make more excuses for the so-called elite QBs than they will accept for the non-elite QBs. Makes no sense at all.

Lol the problem with that is they scored a touchdown on every possession in the second half plus they never punted the ball once the entire game. The commanders also didn't punt the entire game so basically shannon mustve forgot that they kicked a field goal on their second possession in the first quarter. So basically they would've had to know the commanders would score every possession by the time the score was 7-7 lmaoo. That just trying your hardest to slam burrow for the sake of doing it. Joe Burrow and Lamar Jaccson are both great QBs but Lamars post season record is 2-4 while Burrows is 5-2.. Both of those losses were by 3 points too. Joe Burrow is 2-0 against Josh Allen and he should be 4-1 against Mahomes. Week 1 Gesecki fumbled that touchdown catch which would have won the first game of the season. Last week against the Chiefs Burrow outplayed Mahomes but because of DPI they lost. Monday night Burrow definitely played well enough to win but because he didn't score a TD on every single possession people like Canty and Sharpe are blaming him even though he's playing good football. I don't think people realize how bad the Bengals defense is.. The Bengals are one of the worst at stopping the run and one of the worst at running the ball.. Not having Tee Higgins for the first 2 weeks didn't help either but Burrow still put his team in a position to win both of those games.

Mr. Sharpe mentioned Brady and that's true that Brady knew early in games how it would go down. But those Patriots got a lot of wins and even super bowls because eventually the defense made some plays. Russell Wilson would've had two superbowls if not for a last play interception. It's a team game, and it takes a team to win. Burrow played great as an individual, but the team overall isn't playing great. Defense gotta cause some turnovers, and the offense needs to score some points when the defense causes turnovers. That's how winning teams do it.

The New England game was on the Bengals offense. Burrow only scored a single TD. They're not 0-3 only because of what happened against Jayden Daniels. They're 0-3 due to the collective failure to win those games. IN which one of the 3 was definitely on Burrow. They shouldn't be winless.

It's crazy how these guys don't understand Shannon's point. He's not blaming Burrow and saying he bad, he's saying he needed to do more last night because the defense was terrible, that's a completely fair statement to make for one of the highest paid players in the league. Saturday saying they want to force him to press, like yes! that's literally the point. If you're good enough to get paid so much, prove you're elite and force throws and make those throws, that's literally the definition of elite in football and what Brady did.
