I think the deck can also struggle against a single fenrir, which can be the first play of your opponent (which will make 2 problems appear : one is that on its summon on your opponents turn you won't trigger primera because of fenrir, so less followup, and secondly it will still trigger as cl1 when calamity is cl2, probably banishing the centurion big synchro, and fenrir will also stay here for your opponent's turn)

Imperm, veiler, crow ecc. They all can be stopped by Hieratic Sky Overlord. Also this deck can play insane amount of non-engine. It's a very solid t2.

I was actually playing it with Eldlich stuff because it's another small engine so you still have room for like 9-12 non-engine, it supplements the continuous trap thing the deck has going on, and also gives them a grind game beyond calamity locking.

The eldlitch engine just isn't what is used to be, plus with how much people side bystials, the golden lord doesn't have much time before he gets banished.

i played this deck at an ots event 4 days ago and actually managed to go top 4 even with my miss plays and to my surprise most people knew about them too so it wasnt just because of the surpise factor

People like to think i'm crazy for saying this deck is carried by getting Calamity off. But the truth of the matter that's literally just true. This deck does nothing without Calamity. Literally glass cannon turn skip or lose turbo. And while i do agree that it needs more to do without calamity I really think they shouldn't give this deck more support until they ban Calamity because Calamity itself is a ridiculously unhealthy card

The deck isn't a glass cannon. The calamity combo is easy to stop, but the deck doesn't lose too much if you stop it. Your engine is small with no major bricks and only takes 1 or 2 cards from your hand. The deck is mid as fuck, but its got a decent grind game if you run the right non engine.

Most think it's just a calamity deck and that's it because that's truly all it is. It auto loses going second, stop the tag out with imperm is gg or activate book of eclipse before passing priority will make king go facedown before he can activate. Against rescue they can just wait until your turn and same with tear heck unchained with the pop trap can do the same. Once people learn about the deck it's basically over

@@chibiraptor It does have a decent grind, i will admit that. But even then most times if it does not resolve Calamity it loses the game. I've seen plenty of OCG games where it literally falls flat if it can't calamity lock. Even saw it lose to Fire King because it was denied the lock (but tbf FK don't get too hurt by Calamity anyways). I'd just rather play a deck that can grind and also do more than just try to turn skip your opponent. Unchained being probably the best example of this (that's relevant atm).

@@WShoup9818 Exactly this. This is why it's fallen off a cliff in OCG. People decided to respect the one card that does anything in the deck and all of a sudden the deck starts losing. Kinda wild

@@WShoup9818you literally can’t activate eclipse before it can activate once it’s summoned. That’s not how prio works. You would have to do it before he hits the board. If you wait he hits the board chain link 1 he will activate and then chain link 2 you eclipse, your still locked.

Feel like the deck just folds going second which is it's biggest issue. Definitely needs the horus engine to at least establish some type of presence with number 90/coach king trainer, or dingirsu as a going second option. Might sound crazy but etele and krebons for a level 2 synchro package that doesn't eat a normal summon leads to baronne with any one horus monster as well. Likewise the vision resonator package could be decent as well.

I think it will be good in the TCG, but I don't think it will be like Tier 0 or anything. I definitely think that Horus and SHS aren't the greatest either with this because I feel like you just lose to Ghost Ogre that much harder with the King's Sarcophagus or having to start with Wakaushi in scale. Still want to play it though as I think the mechanics of it are really cool, and it'll hopefully be cheap since it's out of a Deck building set.

You must not be up to date on how things work with the market. All the centur-ion starters are ultra rares, minus the field spell. We already know that the pull rates are low and they are the most competitive archetype out of dueling pack, or at least expected to be. They will not be cheap. You can just look at Vanquish Soul as a good example
