I counted the seconds, he was averaged 4-5 seconds, for 7 apm it needs to be about 8.5 seconds, or literally half as fast as he did.

I tried this but had to do some early game bullshit like firebat + medic to give me time to expand. Even on brutal the ai loves to send in zergling after fucking zergling despite my wall in and firebat. Once you get the income to fund mass ghost with nukes the game can get ridiculous and fun. I highly doubt you can beat the campaign with 6 APM... Even when we consider how retarded the AI can be.

I think that the APM is that low because the player is probably reading the description of every building and unit he produces. That's actually kinda normal on a first game, and this is the reason why you get 50 games before placement matches, against others who don't know the game either.

This reminds me a lot of the first time I played a game of Brood War against a friend who had recently become obsessed with the game. I had been into the game for probably a year before him, so I was pretty decent. He turtled up in his base and maxed out an army of Marines, Firebats, and Medics for like, 45 minutes. Meanwhile, as Zerg, I claimed literally every expansion on the map...I'm pretty sure I had the whole map covered in creep except for my friend's base. I shared vision with him before Hydra dropping his mineral line. He thought I was like, the best player in the world lol.

That's what I was wondering- two computers, one player. First he spent 34min building up one army, then shifted to the other computer and did the same with the other army. If you didn't notice, TeRa stopped moving every time Josh moved; all the blue army did was automated movements, NOT player-controlled movements. +slug Everybody sucked at SC2 one time or another. Most people who play the game can look at somebody taking bad fights, macro'ing poorly, and just being slow in general and say, "Ah man, I was there once." This? This is just a fundamental lack of problem solving skills and attentiveness. This player lacks the core fundamental skills needed to get good at just about any game that presents any sort of challenge and tasks the player with completing it by themselves. I have a hard time believing this guy even beat the campaign on easy. This guy must have failed an early mission, thought, "man, this is tough, wonder if multiplayer is any better," and run into this. I mean, nothing against the guy, it's entertaining, but 40 minutes is a damn long time to be sitting in the game and not even try to mount a small attack. I understand that new players aren't going to impress, but damn, I got into this game two years ago with nothing but Halo Wars under my belt for previous RTS experience, and I still at least threw a few units at my opponent to see what would happen.

It's a gimmick--you make it look like you're afk so the enemy comes in after a few minutes and kills the starting SCVs and CC. Since there's the other CC floating in the corner you don't lose the game, and the enemy gets confused and hopefully thinks it's a bug and surrenders, giving you in the win. Like Jeff and Adam said, in this case the cheese got hard-countered by a player who never scouts.

Anyone notice how TeRa is still in the game even though he has no more buildings left? Normally in 1v1, you're automatically dropped the moment you lose your last building. But in this game, he's still able to talk to Josh afterwards. This leads me to believe this was a pre-made custom game. It's interesting what a major difference knowing a little bit of macro/micro will do to your game. I remember when I first started playing this game against my brothers, our longest battle was 4 fucking hours. And I lost. Got tired of losing, and heard of people winning damn games in less than 10 min. Educated up, now my brothers are lucky to survive against me for 20 min, even after I taught them what I've learned.
