For those wondering.... the College Board will (probably) never add calculus to the SAT. This is simply a pseudo-calculus problem. It might appear to require calculus concepts, but only algebraic methods are needed.

Are AP exam questions the same as the SAT questions where they trick you and make you think?

AP exam questions are more straight forward but will still be a little tricky at the end of the day. They won't be this creative but they will test the content in the course in a similar manner as college board questions.
