Loved the walkie talkie show, that was a good one and Shona looking at the two of you as you are both laughing your heads off and Scott crying with laughter. When we lived on the canals of Englandshire we noticed folk on other boats were using walkie talkies to communicate from the pointy end to the blunt end while motoring. Our boat was 70ft long so we thought it seemed worth trying. We moored at an industry retail park thing near Tamworth and went on a mission to buy some. The only ones we could find were at Toys R Us.. pink Barbie ones. We bought them.. we looked so cool using our Barbie walkie talkies.

I had a similar set up in a barn for a baby llama for a short while, but every time I went in there, there would be a cat cuddled up with her under the heat lamp. So cute and they remained best buddies, the cat sitting on the growing llama's back.

I live in Central Otago New Zealand where many of the early settlers were Scottish, and we still have lots of their cottages, lots of stone walls,barns and such still being lived in. Be aware that on smart TV's it will often show as unsubscribed, however when you hop over to a PC or phone you'll see you're actually still subscribed. My Sony TV has this problem.

The comments section disappears on many vlogs not only yours. I watched a second time to finally get it to appear. I am thinking about the church and the reflections, which was cute anyway. I don’t know if this posted last time, but when you take a photo through glass put the lens directly on the glass for a mostly clear picture. (depends on if the glass is clean ) I have done the same thing when traveling in a bus or car to do a video while moving. Just a thought. Really enjoys this video.😊

I think Scott's radio handle should be 'The Moss Whisperer'. One way to increase the range and strength of signal of the walkie talkies would be to get a UHF/VHF antenna and mount it on the cottage. You could get reception anywhere on the island then.

We have friends who lived in the country and have an area which previous owners used as a dump. They quickly named the area “the Mall” as they went over to it to find bits and pieces of wood, wire, etc that they used for projects. I’m happy you have a “shopping mall” on your island!

Hi Robert. We're losing upto 100 subscribers per day. From what we are being told, hardly any of them are voluntarily moving on. Foul play is afoot. There is no other explanation for it, as KZbin flatly deny that anything is wrong with the channel. There is nothing that we can do now, other than ask all of our subscribers to keep checking their status and re-subscribe if necessary. We're also experiencing a 35% drop per week in viewings. This could be seasonal, but we are keeping an eye on it.

Hi, to get rid of the bracken, we would go "Brack'n Smack'n": When volunteering at a nature reserve, we would walk through the bracken hitting each stem with a stick to break it. Over time, this will weaken the bracken. If you strim or otherwise break the stem completely the bracken will regenerate.

I saw recently that you have a StarLink satellite system. I have one and it's worked without a blip for more than 2 years, in my remote location. Elon Musk is providing a satellite mobile phone to go with this system and others. He will have a battle to get it accepted in France, but in the UK it might happen. Hi guys, re the hose..I bought one also supposed to be kink free...but it's like wrestling a snake, no idea what they do to make them so hard to handle but there were instructions to lay it out straight in the sun before you use it for a few days. Apparently it has to form a 'memory' and that will make it easier..worked a little bit but still a pain, better when it's left lying in situ. Greetings from an island in NZ.

Re the walkie-talkies, you need a base station with a roof mounted antenna, it will help with the signal, not sure if you can get em for the hand units you have though.

Or they could have extended antennas. I guess the ones have 1/4 of the wavelength. 1/2 wavelenght antennas have greater reach and signal reception.
