Gonna be really hard to keep that VIX under 20 moving forward IMO The effects of the steepening YC and rising unemployment rate won't make things easy for investors and caution should be warranted. It's not if... only when IMHO

Vix doesn't matter. You're worried about stuff that doesn't matter. Just know liquidity gets injected into the market with a press of the button. Whenever the market is down it's by design.

When does PPO reset? Histogram going below the 0 line? or 1 or both of the moving average lines going below 0?

Agree much has changed since the minutes. But just listened to the bond king CIO of Goldman and he convinced me how far behind the curve the FED has been. Inflation is AT the 2% maybe even lower than this and that is very restrictive. The job revisions give Jerry the concrete evidence/cover he needs to safely cut .25 to .50 and not be considered "political".

While the rate of inflation has dropped to 2%, the cumulative increase in the price of everything as the result of years of high inflation is still in effect. In other words, it's great that inflation is now 2%, but everything is still way too expensive for people to afford. Prices need to come down, or wages need to go up. Lower interest rates will trigger an increase in wages, stirring another round of high inflation. The only solution is for the bubble to pop, and we enter a period of deflation. Interest rates need to remain unchanged or actually increase. The Fed will lower rates because they are very political and don't want Democrats to lose any election this November as the result of the economy going into a recession.

@@Richard-qz8up totally agree we need deflation(not disinflation back to do 2%) to get prices back anywhere near pre Covid. If we keep rates too restrictive like this recession gonna be very bad.
