I imagine someone has asked Will Ferrell to host an awards show over the years: Emmys, Oscars, Golden Globes, etc. I think he's smart because he has never done one - he does a great bit, it becomes a highlight of the show then leaves. This is second to Kristen Wiig and him at the Golden Globes. Kristen Wiig is in the same category - her bit with Ferrell and the one she did with Steve Carell at the GGs are all-time greats.

I was doing a van tour in the Hollywood hills and saw Will Ferrell in his black Mercedes SUV at a stop sign on his way to this Oscars. He was wearing the t-shirt he had on at the Oscars and he was obviously late. I don't think this was planned, I think they did it on the fly. It was so cool to see this the next day knowing I saw him at a stop sign while the Oscars was going on. Will Ferrell is awesome!
