Will flying cars soon fill the skies above us?

Electrification is beginning to transform the way we get around cities - on the ground. But all over the world the race for the sky is also on. Over the past decade, flying cars have grown from a dream for billionaires to a realistic goal. Over 300 companies are now developing electrical vertical take-off and landing aircraft also known as eVTOLs. Emma Keeling is in Munich, Germany to meet Sebastian Mores, CTO of Volocopter, to hear about their plans to launch a flying taxi service due to start in 2024. Airspeeder, an Australian company, are starting a flying car race series with their first manned races planned for 2024. They see racing as an environment where technology can be pushed - as in the case of Formula 1 - allowing that technology to reach the private market more quickly.
