Big difference between past situations of emergency and martial law is, in past whole nation was standing behind military and even foreign governments use to talk only army. I think 18 months is the time Leadership in Establishment changes, seems like Judiciary and present government are in cahoots, so that there is no majority in parliament to give extension to person in Establishment, everyone is banking on new person in Establishment, however this time if the person is changed in Establishment will be chosen by the Establishment, so the policy of the Establishment is not expected to change, so no Tabdili, therefore I expect this government (which is smartly playing its cards) to complete its terms, albeit in the same dinky ship format, in uncertain currents, slowly and gradually moving towards recovery and progress. Second The attacks in KP other provinces is another indication of looming crises in country, which might force the hand of the establishment to take full control. Another party which is technocrat under Khatan Abbasi will work as dummy to 10 year governance by establishment. By then this generation of so called leaders would have passed on to the hereafter. New so called leaders will govern their provinces to mature to takeover, or some external puppet will come to run the country like Malala, only time will tell.
