Cool bike! but just for knowledge I had the same problem at first with range anxiety, but if you pedal and help the motor especially down hill you'll get more range, and recharge your battery while riding. Regen braking puts power back into the battery try pedaling a little more full throttle will run down the battery fast an if your riding in sport mode.. levels 1-5 an your on 5 the whole time will definitely cut into your range. So try an help your motor out. Hope this helps 👍

Hello, do you know, if I could (permanently) change the Ebikes speed? Here in Germany only a Speed of 25km/h (15.5mph) with Pedal Assist and a Speed of 6km/h (3,7mph) on full Electric Mode, or a disabled electric Mode is allowed for regular Ebikes. Could I change the Setting to this on this Bike and if so, how hard would it be to higher up the speed again? Because it shouldnt be completly obvious and not too easy to do it, so that I dont get any problems. I ask, because other than that this bike seems to be perfect for me. I live in the Mountains and most Ebikes available here in Germany are either tripple the Price, or having only quarter or even less of the Power and battery of this YYG and I just hate struggling up the mountains.

i have heard the when the speed is off its because the wheels are set to 24 inch if you set them at 22 it corrects the speed not sure if all bike are like this but i saw a couple that it corrects the speed when you switch the size of the wheels thanks

that is correct but not all tires even tho they state the same size. some are actually shorter or taller than others and it needs to be adjusted correctly but your on the right path

Depending on where you live you cannot legally drive in the bike lane if on electric power alone, it goes above a certain speed. In my state it is 20 mph. You also have to register the bike and have a motorcycle license. Just a heads up for people to check their state laws or you may get pulled over by police and fined.

Had to stop in to say, you hit the nail on the head about the battery percentage when you mentioned voltage sag. A lot of these displays are unable to compensate, and the battery meter displays based on voltage. A 48v lithium-ion battery typically is full at 54.6v, when you go all out full throttle you are pulling a large load from the battery. Bike is 1200w peak, 1200w / 54.6v = ~22 amps. I would guess the controller has a max amps somewhere around that number. The amperage pulled varies based on the throttle position. But to simplify, the greater the load, the greater the sag. You'll likely see 4-5v of sag the way you are riding. As you start to deplete the stored energy in the battery, the voltage output by the battery before sag, decreases. At ~50v you are at 75% capacity and at 48v you are ~50%, once you get down to ~40v you are out of juice. This has a great chart: ebikesforum.com/threads/48-volt-13s-battery-voltage-chart-li-ion-batteries.699/ hopefully its ok to post the link. Let's say you actually have 75% capacity left in the battery, ~50v, and you pull full throttle sagging the battery 4-5v. That puts you down at 45-46v which if you look at the chart, is 27-36% capacity. If you do this sustained long enough, the display adjusts based on the current reading and falsely displays a low battery reading. But when you stop and let the display catch up with the actual reading or turn off and back on like you do at the end, it reads the ~50v and shows 75% again. Unfortunately, calculating SOC based on voltage for an ebike display is not very reliable. It would be great if they added a shunt and calculated consumed watt-hours that would be a much more accurate reading! Sorry for leaving such a long comment, just thought it deserved an explanation. This is why Big Brother will eventually make laws and require permits and rules on ebikes just like mopeds and scooters, and motorcycles. because everyone that drives them in traffic and switch from the sidewalk (from passing pedestrians at 20 or 25 mph on sidewalks ) to the street, just weaves in and out of traffic and goes through intersections ,and don't stop for lights or stop signs and passes cars because they're on a so called "bike" in the bike lane doing 30 miles an hour, sometimes going faster than the flow of traffic. It's as though it's the wild west of transportation. where e-bike riders just do what ever they want. It's so bad where I live , and these people that drive these things are not understanding that these things are like riding a motorcycle that are just slower but just as dangerous if your inexperienced. If i drove my Harley chopper the same as I see everyone on ebikes do and stay at the same speed they do, or just pace with one, I'd be arrested.
