Starting to think everything was “soggy” bc once they took it out the fryer they set it on parchment paper and that wouldn’t soak up the excess oil. If they had a paper towel or even a basket with the bottom coated with paper towel they wouldn’t have all that excess oil to deal with when trying each item.

Love to see how they’ve grown. They’ve always had their individual personalities, despite being twins, but now, you see it even more, especially with food preferences and how one would like something that the other hated. I recognize that they deep fried a lot of stuff that’s already been done (was it Burger King that did the deep-fried cheese & macaroni?), but it’s good to experiment and learn. That’s how I learned to cook without any formal training, occasionally recreating recipes without realizing it. Also, I feel this is how my daughters would be in the kitchen learning to cook.

The hard-boiled eggs one is similar to a street food in the Philippines called Kwek-kwek. You just need to thicken the batter and maybe slice the egg into two or four and make a sauce for that and it’s perfection
