I thought about it but all my trucks are four cylinders and they run good.... They're really not that bad on gas, and these engines are kind of heavy.... Realistically I would like to get an extended cab long box two wheel drive chevy... Preferably with the manual but they do make adaptable kits for both automatic and manual.

Nice one Bert, and no you can't go wrong with an old school straight-5 Mercedes Diesel engine - they'll run forever if taken care of with proper maintenance - but it was still quite impressive it started up so fast after 10 years, and on 10 years old diesel (probably why it could, because no ethanol mixed in the diesel. lol) - and yeah, it's def. worth saving. 1.000.000. km. (625.000 mil.) without even opening the engine isn't unheard of, it's actually quite common.

My daughter had started a garden a couple years ago or more and she decided she wanted a second vehicle that was a truck so they bought a 2003 two-door S-10. I walked up to the vehicle and now this vehicle had only been used pretty much for farm use only so it had very few miles on it which is why they got it but anyway there was some rust on the side with a hole. I said “oh it’s a little crusty” and she looked at me like what. Now we’re originally from California and she’s followed me here a few years later the Midwest in 2006 so she really has never heard the word crusty before as she has always had new vehicles and trades in after 5 years but I watch you so I know what crusty is. I’d explain about you and your Nissan trucks, etc. and she just laughed because she like that name better than rust or rusty. Lol

I was pulling on the right one.... There's not much about these cars I don't know about.... I'm probably one of the very few people that know that the kickdown for the transmission is a push button under the gas pedal.... Which is why most of these cars blow transmissions because people don't know how to drive them...

Hi Bert I always used to drive an old merc c200 sports But since the new emissions tax came in £12.50 a day if your car isn't Euro 6 diesel or euro 4 petrol. Perfectly good cars are being scrap In London UK I can't stand these new tuppawhere boxes that they call car's today

I get wide-eyed & excited new Benz owners rocking up here asking can I fix the tiny bit of rust they spotted.. I certainly can, Pal. Have you seen the rest? Let me show you...... look there... and there... and there.. and under here.... They've usually gone pale at this stage... Can I fix it?
