You want to come get it running? It drove where it's at. It's a flathead V8 was told its the first year they put it in them cars. I have pics if u want.

My pops had one of these when I was growing up in the early 2000's, rebuilt the engine and got it running but ended up on the backburner and then sold. He was originally going to use it to haul his tractors to shows but age and injury caught up to him. Cool to see another one, that engine looks very clean compared to what we started with haha.

I'm not at all surprised that the engine started, but a starter motor without stuck brushes after so many years is impressive, most modern starters need at least a few "love taps" after not being used for a couple of years.

I bought a 1956 Farmall 130 tractor which had not run in years and was outside the whole time. The engine IS stuck but the I put a battery in it and the starter worked as if nothing had ever happened.

Great video, but the best part is the crickets in the background. The downside is I didn’t see a ice house sitting on the fender. But there was a lot fun going on and a lot of anticipation , a great combination for a great day. Nursing it back to life , you got to love it.

I like watching these videos before bed, because my 1950 Chevy sits in my carport right outside my bedroom window, and with the window open and a slight breeze I can smell all the old grease from 1966 that I haven't cleaned off and it really adds to the ambiance of the video

there is one just like this a mile from my house. the guy owns a storage shed complex and has hundreds of gas and oil signs on posts, cars, a half track, a 1920's funeral coach, wagons, a big boy, and a kit p51 mustang. its super cool

I just started following you on tic tock and now on KZbin, I think the time you spend on these old vehicles is great and well deserved. People probably don’t understand how well they are built. You sound like you are from the south, the vehicles from the north where I’m from don’t live as long but I appreciate what you do!!

My 1940 Plymouth has almost the same engine. The distributors don't like moisture! But easily fixed! I absolutely love the truck!

what fun ! one of my favorite things is breathing life back into some old rig . good job Man. i use a outboard motor gas tank hooked to the fuel pump .. works good till you can clean the tank out .. yeah , what a rush it is when you hear some old clunker fire up n idel 😎. thank you for taking us along 👍🏼

She sounds real good! Love that design. I was wondering if the old girl was a 6 volt positive ground like my 52 Desoto was. Had the same bullet proof flat head 6 in her. Maybe a couple cubic inches more or less. I drove that car for 30 years in good weather, no winters though. Had the optional heater too!! lol. Funny how time just slips away. Willy Nelson. peace

That engine bay looks REALLY good. Looks like it was routinely cleaned out while it sat, OR it was roofed. Now that i think about it, someone might have attempted to get it going rather recently.

Love hearing those peepers in the backround!! Years ago I had an old nissan pickup with a seized engine, dumped marvel mystery oil in the cylinders, let it set a while and after a while, it was good to go!! Now you've got the head off, can you still get parts for this thing?

My dad has a 40'Dodge business coupe. Still runs, although its not a daily driver. I learned how to drive in that car. Flat head six, dual exhaust, sounds like an outboard motor.

It is incredible watching this. It just blows my mind seeing a nearly 100 year old car all seized up and this guy just does the impossible and gets it running. Man that's cool. Also - I've seen he's got a Cuda from his other videos so he's got the best muscle car ever made as well so I can't fault him. I'd love to know what drivetrain he has in mind for the Cuda though if I was to be honest.
