I've never worked on a car in my life... not something my dad was into, unfortunately. however, I am just a fan of rods and classic cars... I'm subscribed now to watch how you fix things as maybe one day I can get into this hobby!

How on earth does that much water get into an engine? Draining that sump was so gross I watched it 3 times... And you got the bugger running! Respect. 🇬🇧👍

Got to love those chevy engines, almost like you can't kill them. Definitely worth rebuilding, nothing that 3 grand won't fix.... lol. I think you win "the most water in an engine award ". Would love to see you put it on the road. Great video Jason!!

Yes the crank pressure is making it leak because it's entirely full of water so you're basically hydrolocking the bottom half of the motor if you get the water out if I turn over easier

You should make a crank pulley "tool" like Mortske made to turn stuck engines.
@alan6832 Жыл бұрын
Try reducing plug gap to .020" and then pulling all he spark plug boots part way off in order to make the spark jump just about a mm from the end of the plug wire to the top of the plug, for some reason, forcing the spark to jump a second gap on the outside makes it fire in the face of fouling on the inside. Weird science thing.

It's trying to fire backwards because the timing is too advanced during crank. I run lots of vacuum advance so I can get an efficient idle without it trying to crank backwards.

When trying to free engine, change directions 100 times, of course in front, your reverse torque is limited by loosening the bolt, but you can still apply some reverse torque, 100 times over. then go to the ring gear and reverse that 100 times.

You got to learn somewhere and what better then learning while building a rat rod because all the mess up's can look like something that ought to be there anyway it's a cool machine it's too bad you allowed it to sit but things happen I know I have done the same thing.
