This really caught my eye! My folks had a 1959 Frazer and we did a summer vacation ride from Huntington Beach, CA to Black Hawk (outside of Rapid City), South Dakota to visit my Grandparents. Quite a ride. The car had belonged to the Kaiser / Frazer Dealer and had all the available bells and whistles - no mechanical problems that I remember..

My first car was a 1948 Frazer that I found in a barn. I paid $90.00 for it and drove it home. I still have a photo of that car. What a beauty. Bronze paint and red leather interior. Smelled awesome inside.
@coldwarmotors9 жыл бұрын
+Jim Bales Hey, thanks for the note! Yeah, I bet a 48 Frazer was a difficult car to sell for many years... 90 bucks! awesome. I bet it was in a lot better shape than this old clunk, too! This one definitely didn't smell awesome inside, haha. Cheers from me and Stel.

Just ran across this older video. About to watch all 6 parts. Can't argue the template for this body design might have been the inside of a bathtub. If you could get what looks like some old house paint off of it, it would look much better. Maybe some rattle can black primer, if not, in some kind of "two-tone" pattern. ??? You've got quite a "salvage" yard going there. Anxious to see some updates on that Fleetline. ;o)

That's certainly up there on the list of obsolete cars. "Winter Patrol"...haha. That helps avoid slips, skids and spins on those treacherous winter roads. All those names that automakers came up with for different features made me realize how that they changed from accentuating how good the feature was to how good the feature should make you feel about yourself now. "Weather eye", Mileage maker...Constant Control power steering, Power-Flite transmission. Now it's "backup camera so your lazy ass doesn't have to turn your head", hands-free bluetooth so you can talk on the phone instead of looking at the world around you", and "Platinum Edition so other people know how much you went in debt on a vehicle".

This will be an interesting project to follow. It's not the fanciest car I've seen but it's really nice and amazingly solid. You said it's radio delete but did I see an antenna on the right fender?
@coldwarmotors9 жыл бұрын
+AudioMobil Yes! The right fender has been replaced at some point; that would also explain the weird 2 toning; it would have been difficult to match the paint properly. She is pretty solid, though; that's the main reason I decided to save this car and drive it instead of just parking it with the others.

Describe something nice about this car: 1.) The tail lights, front parking lights and how they're integrated into the trim 2.) Basic conservative rounded-off 40s styling. 3.) Rear bumper 4.) Dash 5.) Steering wheel and horn rim 6.) Rocker's stainless trim 7.) The fact that it got saved!!
