Also like to add, you can get a replacement brake complete, new bearings and all pert from Go Power Sports in the US. They can supply pretty much any mini bike and kart parts you could ever want.

Excellent video. Looking forward to part 2. These types of videos remind me of another great channel mustie1. Would be awesome if you can do more of these types of video. Rescuing bits and pieces turning them into something fun and useful. I think buying a jalopy and doing it up. Complete restoration. I know many are doing it, but not many aussies. The backshed, peter andersons channel are 2 that i follow. I am sure there are more out there, but why not you. An old merc would be fab.

That was a creative modification on the brake arm, but what was missing is a small diameter push spring that goes AROUND THE CABLE between the housing and the arm. This will add the spring pressure to the pedal pressure but insure the brake fully releases even when most of the cable slack has been removed. And it would not require welding. The same thing should be done for the throttle to make sure the engine will return to idle and release the clutch. Nice job looks good. You can tell it will be fun just by looking at the rear tire wear.

Great Skills Drew..I like your problem solving...Where did you get the Kart? It may well be a late 1950s Victa Tiger Kart.....I have an old Victa mower (Sunbeam) that has the same muffler and air filter housing...The old carby needs to be tickled/primed until you can see 2 stroke come out..Looking forward to the next episode....Cheers Gary.
@DrewFixIt3 ай бұрын
Thanks Gary, so what you’re saying is on those carbys you hold the primer down until you see fuel come out … where does the fuel actually come out when you prime it then? Cheers Drew
@garymarkham41673 ай бұрын
@@DrewFixIt I have an old 1957 Victa toe cutter mower and it has a similar carby and primer if I remember correctley.You just keep pumping/tickling the primer until fuel comes out the top of the primer..There is a bloke who sells and makes spares for those old carbys in Australia.

Hello Drew love the Channel, good content, I have a question About e300 scooter I got a fixer upper for my kid, its full charges, and on full throttle no one standing on it, it moves like slooow, maybe 1mile per hour max...what is the most likely cause of this issue, thanks, keep up the great work, mate.

@@DrewFixIt Hi Drew yes, I charged the device overnight, it makes a clicking sound and moves slowly with no one standing on it. The wheels spin free, the read wheel also moves but makes the same sound like a bike with gears. I saw your videos, but none of them had this issue, so I did not know what to do...thanks in advance, Maybe its another video idea for you.

@@DrewFixIt biggest problem is the exhaust is a stub so can't really adjust port timings without a skilled welder as block is cast so hard to move port. You can thin the stub tho allowing a little more exhaust out. Last VC series I seen was 10 years ago now
