That's a dynamo ignition switch, there is no "on" Position, to the right is cold start and to the left is glow plug and then start with glow plug assist.
@davesworkshop2714Ай бұрын
Thanks! I've never seen that before on any tractor! I must figure out what the switch up behind the dash does.
@ronanwalsh7024Ай бұрын
That engine is throwing out a lot of blue smoke, probably just rings or sleeves glazed a bit. If the oil pressure is holding up when the engine warms up it should be ok, if not it probably needs a top end rebuild.
@davesworkshop2714Ай бұрын
Ronan, I'm hoping it'll clear up with a bit of running. It had started to clear already and the pressure held. It's more grey than blue so less likely to be oil burn. Thanks for watching.

The ignition switch is correct you turn it clockwise to run the heater and further to turn over the engine if you turn it anti-clockwise it starts the engine without the heater.what I don’t understand is where all that water came from!
@davesworkshop2714Ай бұрын
A neighbour I spoke to figured that all the water inside the tank (some of it possibly condensation despite the tank being pretty full, must have found it's way to the lowest part of the system over time. I was really surprised to see so much that far into the system! I guess the fact that there's a drain plug there means it was designed to work that way.
