That engine is like an excited little puppy jumping around and all happy - well done Joseph, another successful repair. I wouldn't be surprised if there were little engines queueing up outside your workshop each morning, all wanting you to fix them because they've all heard how good you are.

ohh, Thats very nice to here. Many thanks for that. Yep some times my phone rings a lot from farmers to sort them equipment. For example that Red generator is one of them. I have sorted this ruston out but still is burning some oil. Will need to have a good run outside now. At the moment I am renovating a Villiers diesel. Its having my treatment of being fully healthy. One thing I can say is that its one of the most complicated engine, I have aver looked at.

@BensWorkshop I did fit all new rings with 2 oil scrapers amd yes the bore was honed. Dont know why is that tbh

Timing sounds out, if set correctly i would suspect condensor. I have had so many bad condensors last few years, some even not working brand new. Ive taken to pulling condensors off old engines and saving them.

Time is according the engine spark mark on the flywheel. It was more of rich in petrol as it was new to me and settings where not yet known haha,

The fact that this engine has no advance and retard mechanism, the effect of the duration of the explosion on the reaction of the cylinder head and the piston is seen by the behaviour of the stationary mass of the engine, At slow speed the body of the engine reacts violently as it does, but at higher speed the stationary part of the engine smooth's down, Well done.
