we had an old Ford 9N growing up and LOVED IT! such a good working tractor! I heard that ford joke at the end... Watch it! I love Ford :) haha
@TheCraftyCrowShow3 жыл бұрын
😂😂😂😂. Weve made a few ford cracks over the past few trips down there. I definitely can’t attest to any brand of tractor though. I have zero experience in that category, but this one seems to have been hard working and still in good shape.
@jeffjackson53313 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Can't beat the old equipment like that. My uncle(may he rest in peace) was a firm believer in the old Ford 9N tractors and old Massy Ferguson farm tractors.
@TheCraftyCrowShow3 жыл бұрын
This thing seems to want to run, but we aren’t there yet. And it sounds like Nicks family has definitely gotten their money’s worth out of this old tractor. After looking at it, there isn’t too much bailing wire holding it together, so it must have been pretty reliable….lol
@jeffjackson53313 жыл бұрын
@@TheCraftyCrowShow oh yeah looks like it's in good shape. I would replace the cap, points and condenser, plug wires just incase.

@@jeffjackson5331 well, to give you a sneak peak, we have already shot a part two and dove into that and the fuel system. He found a complete kit with new rotor, button, cap, wires, and plugs, and we are waiting for that to come in now for part three

I have an 801 Ford have had it for 45 years. Run perfect. Has never spent a night outside. The first thing you want to do is throw those point’s away and put electronic ignition in it. You will never have to touch it again .

We had an old Ford in the New York Military Academy junior calvary stables years back, it ran beautiful and I think it's still around. Yours is much more attractive. Good luck guys, this will be an interesting series.

Thank you for the luck, because we sure need it….lol. And I think we would all like to know, what is the New York Military Junior Calvary???? That sounds very very interesting

At least they always circle the problem 😂😂😂😂. The struggle is real with this thing. Just wait till next week. We dove into that fuel system, and it was baaaaaad

That’s a 1957-62 Ford 851 or 861. Look on the flat spot by the starter for serial number and model.

So are you guys not finishing the ford tractor. I saw 2 videos and that was it. I own an old ford tractor 12 v get a electronic ignition and rebuild carb then it will crank up

Just haven’t been able to get our schedules to line up to get back out there. I suspect a carb rebuild is the next step though if we can ever get back to it

Great job, I love will it start videos. A little bit of news unrelated to this video I thought you might be interested in, the Simmons guy that does videos on Appalachia did one on Chevrolet holler, he used old photographs and an old video at the beginning just like you do in your historical videos... Gee I wonder where he got that idea?? His channel is real Appalachia with Shane Simmons.

@@doublexl4253 thanks. They did a good job on it though. Every bit of knowledge and history we can get out to the world about this place helps preserve the history, and can maybe attract tourists to come visit the place.
