What is making that knocking sound? Is that the platform or the feet of the trainer itself rocking a little from side to side? Would love to get an indoor trainer, but I live in a flat with neighbours below me and the walls and ceilings are anything but soundproof.

@@JitinMisra indoor is quite boring ... you start to overheat quickly .. it is harder to change position on the bike ... to name just a few You really need to be motivated and have discipline to see the fun of indoor cycling .. Maybe virtual cycling is more fun, i never tried that ?

@@bartholomeusclever Virtual is completely different experience and will make you motivated. In 2022 any trainer used or new, no matter how good, if it doesn't have zwift/bluetooth connection it's pretty much worthless. As for sweating, try to a strong fan in front of you, works same for running on threadmill.

Now I need to clad my out of round roller with wood strips and mount it on my wood lathe. 1 of 3 rollers out of round makes it loud enough to wake the dead. New rollers cost more than the whole set. I would never consider a trainer or Zwift.
