I'm 43. I found this video because out of nowhere the other day I remembered these things. I had a couple and just remember how cool they were because I could take them apart and you could change parts. my friend had a couple too but we didn't have a track so we would just let em rip down the street. The curbs were the guardrail lol. They had a mind of there own. A lot of times they would crash hard and they would explode into a debris field of parts but that was ok otherwise they'd go forever cause there was just a on switch and once it was on it wouldn't stop until it crashed and the batteries flew out

Yes they don't stop unless they are wrecked. Doesn't help that it's a 4x4. I don't see any toy being made like this these days esp due to safety concerns :)

These were badass. Races would be set up on tracks in the malls. Just dont use on the street and let them smash curbs.

Yes , no street racing for this one :). We take it out to the backyard and build ramps for it to jump. It's still in one piece :)

lots of running up and down my street chasing mine lol. Like I mentioned in my comment, thank God they would break apart when they crashed so the batteries would fly out otherwise they were like trying to catch a loose fire hose lol!

Being a kid from that era I recall there were quite a few dune buggy toys, r/c s ,pull back etc but for some reason I didn't come across this. It is super fast and loud too 😄

It apparently was a Christmas gift from the 90s which was not completed. It was so fulfilling completing the project

It's just about all names of the whole kids in all four full episodes of Record Breakers: World of Speed by DiC Entertainment back in 1989 along with all of them for who/what they all are. I just think you and the others would be happy for me.
