I don't have the confident that the inept JAAA's will make the necessary adjustment without some type of pressure or they could be doing what thay have always done, wait and see what the USA is doing, who have already made the adjustments. The schedule should already be updated in order to allow the Athletes & Coaches to make their own adjustments. The JAAA's lack of critical thinking & vision, which they have proven, year after year after year!! Nothing will change until those dinasures are replaced with those who peddle in forward & critical thinking!!

The U.S moved their championship back a month and we will likely do the same.

They need to change the time of the 200m final boys and girls champs in that sun hot THAT ID VOTE FOR . must can change.

If the US move them trial date why wouldn't we? by the way, will the championship be later than the Tokyo Olympics? Did we delay the Jamaican trial back then?

I hope they push it back a month. And use a month for all commers meet and invite competitors from within the Caribbean with a cash incentives for top 6 in all events. Could you imagine weekly match ups of quality competition in both field and track events. Almost like a carifta, but at the senior level. Athletes would be sharper than a katana come trials

JAAA should adjust the date of the national trials going forward, in keeping with a date closer to the World Championships, which will now formally be the final event of the track and field season as of 2025,. Keeping the current date will only cause the athletes to fall off form and give sub par performance as was the case with the juniors in Peru last year---peak for trials, lack of competition, and resting on their laurels until the junior champs in Lima Peru. Let's hope good sense will prevail, as you've expressed with some optimism.

I think the date is OK. They can peak in June and get a long break to peak again for worlds.

The strength of your argument for "doing or shifting" is in your conclusion that certain big bad country(ies) has done or has shifted "their" date. Coach I hate to very thought of such reference. We are the big likkle bad Jamaica, with the big likkle JAAA and some big likkle record breaking coaches that has made sound decisions over the years. If all the entities involved see it for to hold the trial date, that is what MUST be trusted. Not because waan country sneeze wi fi ketch dem cold. You all have allowed an unpatriotic sacrilege of an event to be hosted on Jamaica's sovereign soil despite the loud outcry of the blood and sweat of our past track and field ancestors. So stop watching other people and let our decision be made in the interest of national wit and pride.
