Japan doesnt have to listen to US just like Korea doesnt either. You should read Park Chung Hee autobiography of the transformation of South Korea. It'll teach you a lot about the affairs US has had and does have in SK, Taiwan, and Japan. Tldr; US isnt puppeteering Japan, Japan is it's own strong nation and uses US for protection.
@japancash
@japancash 21 сағат бұрын
@@lividbutton2813 well, you just used strong nation and uses US for protection ... in the same sentence ... it's just like Europe ... US's military is its strongest export at this point. If you are under its umbrella, you basically need to follow the US foreign policy, no? Japan wouldn't dare to call out US on its support for genocide ...

The person being interviewed made a critical error. He said that 'we are likely to see wages increase'. This isn't true from what I've seen. In fact, I'd wager that companies will instead put forward permanent salary caps on employees as a form of 'job security'. However, it will be designed as a way to deny wage increase.

Meanwhile, India is busy overstating their GDP. If they are indeed the "World's fifth largest GDP country", why is India exporting unemployment and unemployment issues to each and every country? Many of the locals/natives became jobless and/or homeless? 1) Did one of the best universities, Harvard University, said that India overstated their GDP by modifying their methodology to calculated GDP? 2) Nearly 97000 Indians detained trying to enter US illegally in last one year (Business Standard). 3) From UN website titled: "International Migration 2020 Highlights - the United Nations" ➡"India topped the list of countries with the largest diasporas in 2020, with 18 million persons from India living outside of their country of birth.⬅

More women in the workforce, working outside the home instead of becoming housewives, will also mean more support for childcare services. Someone must care for the kids. The kids need childcare. Also, we always assume that old people do nothing but consume elderly services. Not necessarily so. In more collectivist societies, they tend to raise their own grandchildren. And in Asian societies, people are more willing to put the children in the house of the grandparents while the parents live elsewhere. In the West, the nuclear family tend to stay together.

Will not be easy for Japan with so many problems stacked on top of one another. It has the worst demographics of all Asian countries, huge debt, lack of innovation and risk taking, and a constant train of natural disasters. Japan would not have succeeded nearly as much without the huge amount US support after WWII: financial aid, technology transfer, favorable trading policies, etc. Look at Japan's cracked Fukushima-Daiichi powerplant which represents what's going on with all of Japan. This power plant failed after it was hit by tsunami waves 2011. For the next 30 to 40 years, Japan's public needs to spend some $250 to $660 *billion* dollars to try to clean this thing up. All while this power plant produces *zero watts* of power! But seeing how almost all nuclear power projects go, you can double the cost and time estimates to get a more realistic _actual_ schedule. That's presuming this nuclear power plant can even ever be fully cleaned up.

There's still hope. Japan is a leader or on its track to be a leader in renewable energy tech ( wind power, solar panels, nuclear fusion) which will help it achieve energy self suffiency and control inflation which will then boost the sustainable increase in the purchasing power of japanese. I believe they are very engaged in finding ways to boost fertility. Their researchers recently revealed a very big breakthrough in the technology of in vitro gametogenesis. Their researchers also revealed recently a breakthrough in anti-aging technology will help attenuate the effect of an aging population and give more time work on other economic aspects and encourage families to have large families. They need to work on reducing the cost of living for their population and focus on the necessary industries(like energy) that will allow them to reduce the cost of living in Japan. If they do that, that will give more confidence to their population in their future which will help boost the fertility rate. Humanoid robots and automation will also largely attenuate the effect of a lack of labour force in many sectors.
