James 2:17 KJV - Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Our faithe is supposed to bring forth good works, Yes we are saved by faith in Christ alone but if our faith is not producing good works then we have none It is dead I think with Willie and what a lot of other people are talking about and talk about works is not that you earn your way to heaven through works, but if your faith isnt leading to works it is a dead one. I think that is the gist of a lot of people's message when they are seemingly talking about works. I might be wrong and he might believe you need to work your way to heaven I know there are people out there who think that they do but I don't think that Willie necessarily is. The key is believing but the main thing that makes the difference is repentance. Turning away. The devil knows the word. The demons know Jesus. They have rebelled. God gave Jesus not only to believe, but to repent of our sins and turn away from evil. We will know a tree by its fruit.
