Don’t agree about Bo.. look at his numbers the last three years even the injury year last year then look at Guerrero’s number you can see a steady decline in every category with him. Given his age he should be trending up not down .. Soto is a generational player around the same age he has been on 3 teams and he performs everywhere!

This is a dysfunctional team in every way and it starts at the top.. the most important issue is that the top players are not hitting and Atkins has done nothing to address this. Nothing was done at the trade deadline, nothing in the offseason . Second John Schneider has made too many managerial errors to be considered a leader of a contending team. Finally Atkins comment about Vladdy being a “generational” talent and hoping for internal improvement is just incredibly naive. My opinion is that both Atkins and Schneider should be fired and serious trade options should be considered for Vladdy . Until these things happen this team is a bottom feeder !

Easily the worst GM in baseball .. horrible decisions, ridiculous comments , unable to understand the basics… this team can’t hit not sure why at this point but a year and half is enough to understand this he has done zero to correct this problem absolutely nothing .. Schneider has made so many managerial errors why is he still coaching ? I withhold a decision on Bo he has been productive but Vladdy is not a “generational “ talent as Atkins called him . That is plainly obvious at this point at least to most. They need to listen to trade offers for him and get the best deal . This organization is dysfunctional no one in charge seems willing or able to right this ship.. !

What do you call the psychological condition (maybe that's too harsh) … the 'state of mind', when you begin to cheer for certain players to fail? For example, when Vlad is up now, I have this perverse desire to see him strike out on a low and away pitch or hit into a double play?

Vladdy is a good player but he is not a generational player as Atkins says but he and his agent are going to ask for that type of money… get some young players and some mlb players Vladdy has proven over the last three years he isn’t what he was when he was younger and his game is regressing

Re: Vlad and his 2021 season. I truly believe that 48 homers will turn out to be his outlier season… at least with whatever time he remains with the Blue Jays. Perhaps another team's coaching staff will resurrect his career.

Will Robertson or Steward Berroa may get called up this season as an extra outfielder. Looking forward, we obviously have a glut of infielders. Perhaps a package that includes Bichette, Manoah, and a couple of infielders (Biggio and/or De Los Santos) for a top-tier MLB outfielder (Michael Harris, Christian Yelich, Evan Carter, or Nolan Jones).

Vladdy is not a bad baseball player. He’s way better than the average player, the problem with vladdy stems from expectation. 2021 left us with such high expectations, it might be time for fans to reevaluate who vladdy is. Really just depends how you look at the situation but I get where you’re coming from.
