This stream just brings my understanding of Julia to a new level (I think). Her description of the Nirvana at peak nihilism makes complete sense given how she seems to be an overthinker and I feel that in my bones. Once the constant thought process is dulled she feels like her creative side can flourish and that's why her drawing aesthetics tend towards dark/gritty but at the same time bring some eldritch comfort. And my feedback for Julia in case she ever sees this and decides to Knights Try Again is to: A- dismember the traps mentally like you do with those Returnal lasers and the menial tasks in day-to-day life, then stop thinking when you're executing. B- As Jacob said by the end, the positive thinking also works as a way to stop the overworking brain; and, most importantly, C- remember to channel the grace and confidence of her inner gazelle!

I fell asleep watching one of the other vods and then woke up to the endless "tunk, tunk" of this knights steps. It crept into my dream and i walked around my house trying to find what was making that metallic noise. I eventually disassembled my air conditioner but it didnt fix it so i walked outside. I definitely think Julia should be proud of completing dark souls 1, especially with a bunch of extra challenge stuff she threw in. Some people make it an extra challenge on themself to only use the default 5 starting flasks and not use any NPC summons and Julia was able to do all that on her first playthrough. So congratulations again! You are good at life!

I can definitely relate to the build change up strategy of dark souls 1. It was probably four playthroughs with friends that I realize you can use a divine weapon in the Nito boss fight to prevent the skeletons from reviving. At that point it just became a much less hectic solo battle with Nito themselves. And I knew for every single one of those playthroughs that you could use a divine weapon against regular skeletons to prevent them from reviving, I just never thought to bring it into the Nito boss fight until I did it by coincidence.

Random fun fact about gazelles: Julia is correct about their confidence (in a manner of speaking) because the crazy jumping they do when confronted with a lion is called pronking, and because it seems like a counter-intuitive behaviour to waste energy on big jumps when you could just be running away, one theory on why they do that is to tell predators “hey, check out how fit and energetic I am, it would be a waste of your effort to try to chase me down, so you shouldn’t bother,” so in a way, they’re showing off!
