Lorcana got my wife to play a tcg. She never even touched a Pokemon card b4. Disney loyalty runs deep.

I think time will tell with Lorcana. It's true if you want safer investments securities are probably better. However like you said, every investment carries a risk. I've made money in TCG and also stocks.

Absolutely love your vids, please keep them coming!! I am on the exact same page, I believe the d100 collectors, first chapter boxes, and d23 cards are great. Do you think it seems like first chapter may be done reprinting? crazy that they already have the next 3 set dates out and they rent their printers. they might be focusing on the next sets now? Cant wait to hear more!

Yeah he is not wrong. But the truth is in the middle. Diversifying investments is the key. Dont go all in just Lorcana as investment. I also invest in stocks, mainly dividends. But also try and have some Lorcana (like the d100) investments, but I also like to play. But I do prio dividens stocks as first.

As an investor/player. I can guarantee you that the First Chapter will go up. The mats are even going up to $100 (maleficent). We've already seen Elsa sell for $800 high 7's. It was in the high 3s (during the reprint), and now it's almost $500. Why is that? Demand. Once First Chapter is sold out and it will be sold out one day. We've already seen what the card did on hard to get inventory. With the hopes of a reprint. Take away the "Hope," and all prices will start going up and getting bought up, creating scarcity. It reminds me of the people telling me that the economy is going to crash the past 10 years.

One more thing. As a player, I get to enjoy what I invest in, so it doesn't just make it about money. Cause if it went down in 15 years or later. I can just open the product and enjoy it. It's a win win either way.

the mad thing is in the UK some online stores have the Malificent mat for MSRP.

@julieannboo I would buy them up. It was the hardest thing to get in the States. Mats were the hardest for people to get after talking to them, and stores barely got any. Two stores I go to all the time have never gotten restocked. I bought my mats release day, but I just kept asking just to know.

Bro in the original post is trying to use low budget and non-artistic CCGs as an example of failure 😂 literally pokemon, yugioh and magic are TCGs and they pass the test of time. He may have experience in the hobby field, but he sure does not know what to put your money into or what the cool kids are doing. Even with 20 years of experience, you can be completely blind

Set 1 is still being printed and is readily available - more so than Floodborn in my area. I'd hesitate to call this a slam dunk investment yet. Worth a speculative investment but definitely not something to go all in on. The game however - is incredibly fun. Highly recommend to anyone who is into TCGs!

Im not too sure where you are from but in the Chicagoland area, First chapter is sold out everywhere, especially booster boxes. Floodborn you can still get your hands on

two local shop owners have told me that their distributors are saying there's not going to be more Chapter 1. The December reprint was that last of it.

Ravensberger has been adamant that they will reprint cards to keep single prices down so I'd be hesitant to invest in singles or even sealed product. Promos and rewards cards, that is where the real money will be.

I have played the Stock Market game, the mechanics are broken and there is too much Power Creep. It's very much pay to win. I'll stick with my silly cardboard that have pretty pictures.
