The running back will emerge, they always do. Whether they last the whole season is a different story. What makes this draft nice is if they all pan out then we can focus on skill positions next year with a foundation set.

@@GURU-ez1zshis 1st round picks for the most part are fine which if fine but his late round drafting has been bad that’s where you become a good evaluator. Drafting late round guys and adding guys in free agency. 2023 draft class bad 2021 outside of parsons and osa was a dud. Drafted too many raw guys. Passed on Torrance for schoonmaker. Passed on marshawn Loyd for the lb. 2021 passed on the Elijah molden for wright Joseph etc. those picks have hurt Dallas depth

@@GURU-ez1zs Hmmm you might have something there, the last 4 picks are Guyton, Mazi, Tyler, and oh yeah Micah. Last 4 second round picks are Kneeland, Schoonmaker, Williams, and Joseph. All the first round picks will be starting this season and 3 of the 2nd round picks will be major contributors with one possibly being a future starter in Kneeland. So of the 8 Dallas has come away with what 5 possible starters? I'd say he hasn't lost anything

This was a heck of a draft got Trey Lance a top quarterback in draft in the 4th round to replace Dak and a left tackle with high upside a center to make interior offensive line dominant a run stoping DE

When you think about it, the Cowboys will be more focused on slinging the ball, not running. That got us moving through the 20’s very easily last year, but we needed an RB to get those tough yards and punch it in. Zeke can do that!

Emmitt was not super fast.. got chased down during breakaways all the time. What counts is yards/per/carry ... Track stars aren't stepping off the track and into NFL uniforms on any type of regular basis ... Because running is a. timing b. cutting c. reading blocks d. having good field vision e. solving problems when things are clogged up... It takes alot of effort to finally get a breakaway and be able to actually use speed.

Well it hasn’t work the last 6-7 years still haven’t had a stud dt for years . Going to need to invest in the position getting the top dt or finding someone in free agency or trade. Imagine getting a guy like quinnen willliams up the middle that would get us over the top not these 6th and 7th round draft picks and washed DT in free agency. That’s why we can’t win lack physicality up front and explosiveness on offense. Blame the organization for holding the team back

@Antbeast23 Thats because the last 10 years our Defencive Coordinators have had an infatuation with playing with undersized DLinemen and LBs....Its Scheme and poor GM..For example, we Draft 340lb DT in 1st rd, then make him lose 30lbs...Jerry and Stephen Jones are not football Guys...Cowboys had the most sucess when football guys ran the front office (Jimmy Johnson)! Zimmer will help this Defense

Micah’s a very good player but to defeat him, teams run the ball right at him. They NEVER did that to L. Taylor, because he’d make the play every time. Micah was much more impactful at LB when he blitzed, IMO, than he is at Edge, exclusively. Hopefully Zimm will bring him back out and let him loose.

@@GURU-ez1zs Agree ... Jerry loves fxxxxxking up in the 2nd round though .. Last year was the TE with the Hurt foot who couldn't play forever. Getting an Edge in R2 hurt getting a RB in 4 or 5. Picks 1- 3 should have been Center, LB, Def Tackle .. then our RB- an NCAA guy who got 6 yds/carry and there were a bunch. Kendall Milton.. RB/Univ of Georgia 6.1 yds/carry went undrafted .. and the Cowboys didn't go hard after him.. he ended up on the Eagles.
