Im hoping they add the research levels for monsters like they did for world. Having to actually find your monster via tracks was really satisfying.

I played on the ps5. So i had double the time. I can tell you this. The game is a hunters dream. The secret has peak movement and unlike world with those TRASH ridable monsters you can actually control the secret. Customization is also peak so me personally 10/10. Its good but leaves room for improvement which is also a good thing

I had a blast with my Polygon simulator. I mostly used charge blade (broken and I didn't even used focus mode that much) and sword and shield (busted as well)

if they fix issue in the beta and listen to the feedback it might be GOTY contender but GTA 6 also release next year so its going to be one heck of a battle for it

They really revamped charge blade a lot in wilds, it makes you shift between savage axe, saed, aed, shield and sword charging, instead of you know, just going for saed spam

Yes they revamped it a lot and i feel like it is closer to a nerf. You basicly got a "counter axe" than a charge blade since you need to perfect guard to get highest dmg output. Yes the old SAED spam is becoming boring but to add more procedure to the most procedural weapon is a No for me. The name charge blade indicate that you need to charge the blade or using balde then u got damage, but now you need to charge but you also need to perfect guard, not a normal one but perfect guard. Absolutely nightmare on Multiplayer

I think it's extremely likely that it will win at least one category. But it's too early to say it'll win GotY 2025 while it's still 2024

I love MH. Been playing since MHFU. But I doubt it's chances at GOTY. I suspect many players are coming on due to the hype, but I also think a lot of them will drop out early. Ever since, gamers either loved MH or didn't care for it. World expanded the player base immensely, and Wilds will do the same thing. But I still don't think the adoption is enough to make it completely main stream. Especially with some newer gamers thinking cutscenes and button mashing is peak gameplay.

Okay I don’t think it will be game of the year but I do think it will be a great installment in the monster hunter series but with the game coming out early 2025 there’s so many games coming out both announced and not announced that could take the mantle of GOTY

I'm curious what's tree's system specifications. Cuz I have what most people now consider as a mid end system and I didn't face any of these graphical bugs or problems in my 23 hours of game at high settings

Oh thank you​@@TREE3301. Strange as it may sound I think the only better thing I have is 3060ti other than that everything I have is slightly lower to yours. (3060ti is in my experience slightly better than 4060) But still my game worked so nicely for the entire time. My specs are Ryzen 5 5600X , 16Gb DDR4 Ram(Corsair vengeance) 3200 Msi MAG B550 tomahawk no wifi (cuz I use Ethernet cable) Zotac OC twin edge RTX3060Ti 8GB VRAM Though I don't know maybe you are playing at 1440p that could be a reason. I play at 1080p unless I've enough resources not being used to upscale to 1440p res.

Optimization is at the latter end of the dev cycle so it should be much easier to run on release

You would do so much more damage if you didnt SAED every second, perfect guard into savage axe and just AED inbetween regular axe combos,you only use half the phials in savage axe

savage axe completely negates phial use for element discharge i & ii

Sir Tree, i've got a question, im gonna upgrade my pc real soon and its more or less like yours (better GPU, slightly worse cpu) with less RAM cause i dont stream of course, wanted to ask, how was your experience? I fiddled with the setting a little bit and was able to get it looking a little better, according to chat my current ram is just over the recommending amount. I;m not the most tech savy so I dont have much to say other than nothing was a polygon

No doubt great game already but there could be other games that can beat it. Its poor performance, some weapon imbalance (the IG clans), and personally the weather changes "inclemency" and "fallow" seem too dull maybe (or is it just the desert lol) like maybe add a stronger moon-like light source? like i would prefer atleast 80% of the hunt to be in that beautiful daylight

"Inclemency" is the dusty windy part before the "Sandtide" (lightning storms), it's a precursor to the storm. You don't want a hunt to suddenly be lightning strikes everywhere "without warning", this is the warning. "Fallow" is the normal desert lol Maps would need some part of normalcy for special weather to be special. And damn special it is.
