I love the Primordial Malzeno fight, the main way to beat his final form (Called the "Bloodlust Form") is to wait your turn, there will be clear and defined opportunities where you are able to attack, and so I would recommend taking them instead of attempting to sneak in a few cheap shots here and there. If you decide to get better at his fight, then you can find smaller openings to get smaller hits in, but *don't* overcommit. If you overcommit, then you will get hit, and I would recommend using bloodrite healing (From Malzeno set) in one of those previously mentioned opportunities. Make sure you break at least 1 part that isn't the tail, otherwise you will have a harder time in his Bloodlust Form. The main skills I would recommend (besides the damage skills) are Evade Window 4-5, Bubbly Dance 3, and Evade Extender 1-2. (3 is too much, it feels like you go across the map) I wouldn't recommend Dereliction, as it drains your health at a faster rate than the Bloodlust skill ((Chaotic) Gore Magala set), but it has better bonuses.

You should try to use wire bugs more for evasive maneuvers but be careful not to spam them incase you need wirefall. Its really useful for a lot of Amatsu's large and devastating attacks.

Was endemic life banned from this solo challenge? Because if you has used endemic life in your runs you would have done a lot more damage to Primordial Malzeno. I'd recommend you take this route for 3-4 easy endemic life grabs. Go cross the small bridge then climb up the ledge next to the herb shrub. Climb up the next ledge and go check the bush nearby for a Toad. Then go down the river for Blasttoad. You make your way up river then go right and the up a couple ledges up a hill. Up there is a SleepToad. Now keep going on to the mountain You should find a spot were there is a string spider. Hope this helps you out on this map.

Stuck home sick, this is exactly what I needed to cheer me up. Thanks, Tree. Violent Mizu armor is actually a really good start for a Lance set. Evade Extender 3 for max hops, Embolden gives guard +5 when targeted (and stacks with normal guard) as well as evasion 5 to take advantage of max hops, adrenaline rush for a little damage boost, offensive guard for a big damage boost, flinch free so you can keep up the pressure without getting messed up by little hits, and then stamina surge to Regen stamina after blocking. For anyone already far enough in Master Rank looking for a set to try Lancing, this is it. Just needs a few decos/a talisman to really shine and several pieces are also great to mix and match as well.

Welcome to the true risen fights which will test your reaction times to the test. As a fellow charge blade main, I find risen valstrax to be the Hardest among the 3 terrors of Sunbreak (Risen Valstrax>Hazard Primordial Malzeno>Risen Shaggy). Risen Val barely has any attacks which you would prefer to Ready Stance block instead of outright dodging it because he is usually out of range, is readying for another attack or leave time bombs in the area for you to take advantage of that small window after blocking. In comparison Hazard Primalzeno prefers a more direct approach with more than 50% of his attacks being melee combos that barely lets you breath especially in the last phase but they are all manageable after enough experience and I can even hit him in between combos after blocking with ready stance. But his most deadly attack has to be the qurio laser which does insane damage while also being unblockable and cannot be i-framed even with EW 5, if he brings this up on his last phase you better hope its not your last cart. Then there's Risen Shaggy and the reason I find him the lesser evil among the three is that he is more of a power type monster who dishes out the most damage but has the easier to react against attacks. His speed is still ridiculous but compared to the jet powered dragon and the teleporting vampire dragon, it is much more manageable.

frostcraft is perfect for greatsword, longsword and sword and shield. Also works well with dual blades too because it drains slowly with it. But yeah, not good with charge blade at all

Before finishing rise I suggest you to do hazards. (At this point you are stronger than most of them) Hazard risen elders are the hardest in this category but they are grindy to obtain. The hardest content in the game are special investigations but they take a lot of grind to do, I would prioritize hazards and special events.

Violet mizu when it first released gave people a lot of trouble and they said it was a super hard boss, nowadays this fight isn’t anything compared to the other monsters that are around now

I believe from my grinds that violet mizu is actually weak to Ice more than water? Maybe? Been a while since I fought it I haven't checked. But I hunted the thing soooo many times i ntrying to create all its gear, I still get caught by random oilsplosions all the time there's just so much of it everywhere XD. edit: I mostly use Violet Mizu armor for my lance set since it covers a lot of skills I want, especially the legs with the offensive guard and weakness exploit, plus embolden already in. I do skip the helmet because I already have a bunch of really good evade extender talismans though.

Just a little tip if you plan on hunting Violent Mizutsune more often; when he’s got the spirit bomb out (bro thinks he’s Goku) aim to flinch him in the head. If you can do that, the move will backfire and hit him for good damage.

I'm kinda surprised you're still running a palamute and palico, and not two palico.

So glad you're giving Savage Axe the chance. Edit: Savage Axe pimarly works on monsters that are mostly stationary.

CSS is better for monsters where you know their move set. Because its a high risk/high reward switch skill.
