I agree with people being a bit too legalistic, however, bible also talks about people having certain convictions and if Holy Spirit tells them specifically do not watch this because it will be a temptation to that person or will make that person stumble, then they should obey the warning from the Holy Spirit and honor thier convictions and not watch it to play it safe. I'm so glad to run across this message. I've been seeing alot of people saying that is not a good movie to watch. Me personally I felt such an inspiration. I've literally been dealing with almost the same thing the family was dealing with. I literally was praying to lord for help to get rid of the demonic presence in my house. Before I even knew about this movie the lord told me to go in my basement and to Terry and to speak in tounge. The next morning I seen this movie on Netflix, I had to watch it. It was like God was showing me the answer. My mom keep telling me to move but what God have called me to do which is to cast out evil spirits, I am meant to fight back, not run away. This movie gave me conformation and it sparked my light. God does not give us the spirit of fear.

I stopped watching these kind of movies but I decided too watch even though back then I used to be terrified and tormented in dreams but that was cause I was weak spiritually and gripped by fear and had no faith. I’ve been walking with God for almost 3 years now and this movie had no effect on me I slept the best sleep I woke up so peaceful. It goes to show you that there’s none beside Jesus . I saw an act of LOVE from God to his children through deliverance. The actress also took this role prayerfully if you read her interview.

I saw the movie and I loved the ending but there were scenes where I felt convicted in my spirit. I think you guys should have addressed the bad things that happened to individuals that were on set. There’s a video where they mentioned these things. I believe that there are individuals that have a weak conscience and we need to be careful we don’t stumble a weak brother or sister by alluding it’s ok to watch it or do things to prove we are not legalistic.

His disciples were called 'sinners' by the pharisees, but they had come to Christ and been forgiven of their sins. This whole idea that Jesus hangs out with sinners is absolute nonsense. Please go read 1 Cor 5 again. "Purge the evil from among you". So it's fine to go to dark places to preach the gospel but just don't think he was hanging out with them on a regular basis.

Whenever I see the ad for Negarious I get creeped out. Knowing the demonic was not resolved is upsetting. The makers even spoke about the demonic activity they were dealing with on set. I suppose we ought to pray for them, and over that movie. Regarding this new movie, I haven't seen it, but based on the storyline, it seems to have a high probability for saving souls. How many people will watch it and recognize their own struggles, then hear the name of Jesus while seeing the power of His name onscreen? Plus, it's based on a true story! Yes, I praise God that He blessed me with discernment since childhood and even through decades of separation from Him, so that when He called me home to His shelter and I was voraciously consuming every Christian and Christian adjacent book/video/sermon/science discovery/testimony etc....every denomination imaginable.....so many people arguing....especially in the comments....I'm so blessed that the Lord discipled me directly. But that religious/pharisee/legalistic spirit is potent, it was the one that ruled my religious upbringing. It's exactly the spirit that influences the perception of non-believers in regard to Yeshua/Jesus. I'll add though, that I've been familiar with the supernatural and evil forces all my life, so that has never been a barrier to belief for me. I appreciate you all so much.

I've read the original article published in the IndyStar from 2014, it was based on the 800 page police report, including DCS reports, phycologist''s report, and the report of the priest, the hospital report and witnesses like the doctor and nurses. So this was a real & extremely well documented case. The article was titled the Exorcisms of Latoya Ammons. It was also made into a documentary by Zak Bagans from Ghost Adventures called "Hell House" in Gary Indiana. The documentary had interviews with the actual family, police officers, priest and DCS workers. They also added in some dramatic re- enactments with actors. Realizing that a lot of people who are NOT Christian or people in general are curious about the supernatural, I mean there's tons of popular shows about the supernatural out there. If this movie Glorified Jesus and deliverance in the end and the power of the name of Jesus Christ then I think that's a good thing in my personal opinion. I did not like Nefarious because in my opinion it did not glorify God , hated the end and the fact that there was no victory against darkness portrayed. But this "secular movie" did portray the victory in Jesus Christ name, so I have to say that's why I think it's not bad. Maybe non Christians will see this and start looking into deliverance ministry, that would be cool

I agree 💯% it's been said when one points their finger at someone (Persecuting) they have 3 pointing back at them. God's Word tells us in, Acts 13:47 “For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth. '” This verse reiterates the call to be a light to the nations, bringing the message of salvation to every corner of the globe. How can we do this if operating in fear. .we need to go in the darkest places to share Put on your Armor & do not fear take authority. If we hide in church or behind a keyboard out of fear then you'll never go to the ends of earth to share the Gospel because again God's Word tells us Satan is the god of this world. This means that this earth is currently his domain, but he is still limited in what he can do as is seen in the case of Job where Satan had to have God’s approval to move against someone who is a believer in God. In Job 1:6-12 & 2:1-6. So if you don't leave your comfort zone how are you gonna share Jesus? ✝️ This world is dark, but we are called to illuminate His light!

For those not standing in authority of Jesus Christ watching such a movie would not be beneficial. Similarly, those who still having strongholds of fear in their life would be at disadvantage. I believe, for unbelievers it would be even worse. Another question is, why would I fill my imagination with pictures of demons when I can fill it with the Word of God? I do not believe that those kind of movies are beneficial in any way. I am just not drawn to such movies. The same way I was drawn to it because I was addicted to adrenaline before now I am not since I follow Jesus.

In the movie Nefarious, no one was sent into the prison to deliver the inmate of the demon(s). The psychiatrist/psychologist that went into the prison was unbelieving and flippantly invited the demon into himself. There wasn't a Daniel Adams or forerunners anywhere in this movie. I went to screen this movie for the teens in our church. I deemed that the movie would instill fear not faith.

I want to focus my attention on positive things. In real life I believe I could handle Situations and found this channel because God was using me in demon oppression situations. Ok so I’m here because I watched the movie after Daniel said it was ok. Not because I don’t have the Holy Spirit because I do. I have been doing a fast and plan to do it for 30 days. I broke my fast watching this movie. Dumb, I know. I should have known better! There is literally a part where a girl kills someone with an ax. Long story short I just woke up after being attacked with perversion, fear and horrible graphic thoughts I know did NOT come from me and came straight from that movie. Daniel is going to have to repent for this one. It’s a mistake, but WE were wrong. I declare anyone reading this will hear the words of the lord ! Stay holy and consecrated unto him! It’s not by works but by the spirit ! I receive healing and deliverance from every attack against my mind and body in the mighty name of Jesus. I shall remain free. No weapon formed against me shall prosper !

My friend that is something that was already in your soul. Not sure how new you aren’t the faith but you did hear me say I am not recommending this movie you watch it on your own accord. Follow Holy Spirit. Blaming me is a little much. I don’t need to repent for anything. Many watched that movie and were just fine. I have been praying and will continue to pray that the Lord reveal and remove anything that is in me. So let’s say that is the case? I can now pray and it will be removed completely. Glory to God because I am his and he uses even the ungodly things for his good. But what about those who don’t know him and watch this movie ? It’s an open door to the demonic. I opened the door and watched a movie that is of the devil. Period. This movie is absolutely not of God. It’s called horror for a reason. The profanity alone should be enough to condemn it. And hey, I guess I just love God so much that I want to only do what is pleasing to him. I have already been delivered for many years with no thoughts of the things I’ve been delivered from. I think it’s funny that people need to depend on someone in leadership in order to tell them if they should watch or not watch a movie. Instead of going along with everyone, how about actually asking God if you should watch the movie. A lot of the people who are scared cuz they watched the movie and now have things going on at home probably already had open doors to the enemy and now are blaming it on a movie. Even if you avoid watching the movie, you can still get cursed and attacked because this is a reality. You will go through spiritual warfare and go through attacks. You don’t need to watch a horror movie in order to have creepy things happening in your home or having nightmares or opening up portals. Heck your jealous coworker or pastor or person in leadership can curse you. A lot of jealous people in church, work, school, aunt, friends can curse you. Let’s just all avoid going swimming in bodies of water and visiting the beach and traveling at exotic beautiful places cuz yes best believe them marine spirits and territorial spirits are in those areas cuz witches wizards and warlocks love doing their rituals next to bodies of water and oh in the woods as well and woody places such as parks, and hiking trails. So let’s avoid that too. We might as well be naked since the clothes we are wearing, the person who tried it on before we purchased it was probably a witch and now spiritually contaminated the clothing item.

Thank you for making comments on this movie. I am in a season of preparation and I believe God is calling me to deliverance. I plan on watching it regardless of what anyone says about it. The movie Fallen with Denzel Washington was a great example of how the enemy can watch you. And that demon got away. The other movie I liked was the popes exorcist - because I was reminded that even the exorcist had to keep his hands clean and his heart pure.

I watched this movie 1 day ago and it confused me that she died and a new believer was the one that actually carried out the mission. Please go deeper into this subject. Prophetess Tiffany Montgomery said she heard the Holy Spirit telling her 'portal' concerning this movie. I believe it's true. I think that certain movies griefs the Holy Spirit because I felt very convicted and horrible when I use to wash certain movies. I've repented for ignoring the conviction and carrying on watching and I am never going back doing it again. Weather she heard it wrong or right. it's not worth to be considered. I don't have netflix, so can only gauge this film from other people's comments. But since finding the love of Jesus way back in 1980, I have avoided anything of darkness at all, I just don't have the stomach for it. However, I really enjoy seeing the works of evil being sent packing through Daniel's revivals so much, doesn't scare me one bit, quite the opposite! Now I cheer and even laugh at those silly demons who think they are so powerful and can resist the Lord's power! As for Daniel himself, well he has always been a tough guy, that surely is why God has chosen him for this ministry. Demons don't scare him, so this film would be easy for him to watch. He tells us that the ending shows Jesus winning, too.
