Based on how Aqua treats Kana, like how they both ditched class together and Kana was the only one he wanted to be with at the time to sort his feelings, plus he admitted how hurt he was with the way Kana treated him

I'm hopeful that Kana will learn the truth about Aqua x Akane. I think that her feeling rejected by Aqua and Jealous of Akane is what's behind her being so down on herself. Old feelings of disappointment and even abandonment seem to be getting dredged up and clouding her outlook. She's reading the same "In-Depth Guide to the Internet Sea Slug" book as Aqua, and I can't see any reason other than she wants to have things to talk about, and it probably makes her feel closer to him. She can't pretend she doesn't have feelings for him. The way she reacted when he asked her to skip class said it all. If she knew that Aqua x Akane isn't actually a thing, she wouldn't be in this funk and would be crushing it, making it super obvious that she should be center idol. Also, I'm, happy that they fleshed MEM-cho out a bit. Even when she was little, she's shown with the cat smile and fang, which I love.

I think they're going to be a very popular idol group in the future since Aqua already recruited Mem-Cho, who is a famous social media influencer, and with their recent collab with Pieyon, they already have a good start. I can see Ruby as a prodigy probably becoming the center of attention since she looks a lot like her mother Ai, and being a fan of Ai in her previous life, she will have no problem replicating her or maybe even surpassing her in the future. Unfortunately for Kana, she'll be the least popular of the three, but she is still probably the most important member of the new B-Komachi group as she is the most experienced member when it comes to taking the big stage as an actress, being like a mentor to them.

Considering It's a new band under an old name I would imagine B-Komachi 2 struggling with fans who liked the first lineup even keeping the first lineup but with Ruby replacing her mother would have that struggle considering something I seen in YT comment sections of songs where the new person would get criticized because they are not the OG person (DragonForce's Vocalists for example would be ZP Theart vs Marc Hudson even 12-13 years later)

It's heading towards an emotional roller coaster for who is best girl (/woman - looking at you mem-chan 😏😅) I mean, first like Ruby then quickly at Akane for then looking Mem in some minutes just to stare energetic at Kane in the end. Kane did surprice me a bit at the end of episode 9, that she's more than meets the eye.

Kana has quite an interesting character story that spans through the entire manga so I'm curious how the anime adaptation will tackle it in future seasons. As for her relationship with Aqua, let's just say it becomes so complex that causes emotional damage to both of them in the future.
