The concept of the curse series being the 7 deadly sins is convenient here. Their obvious effects aside from it leads to self destruction, they each have their unique game-based and reality-based effects to the users. Naofumi suffers from apathy and self-destructive hatred. Alongside those effects, he will also suffer from compromised senses like his taste. Ren' sins being Greed and Gluttony compels him to keep stealing and looting items from corpses, suspicious locations, and basically raiding towns. Those items corrode and lose worth upon contact with his curse. He also can't level up from killing mobs or monsters ordinarily. This also compels him to attack adventurers and other townsmen, further dragging him to a deeper sin of murdering. Lust and Envy's effect on Motoyasu distorts his vision or perception of anyone. However in his case, he started seeing evil women as literal pig-faced scumbags while pushing him to desire pure-hearted maidens like Filo. On the flip side, his lust also pushes him to desire to become stronger as he lusts for power. As a side effect of his curse, he can allure targets or disorient them with "charm" or aphrodisiac-like skills. The envy part grants him explosive powers through emotions that are nearly similar to wrath when envy peaks out. Itsuki's curse makes him delusional besides being arrogantly stupid. It prevents him from seeing his wrongs or will never grow. Since Pride always wants to be the center of attention among the 7 deadly sins, it has the brainwashing abilities to make people do whatever he wants or boost his useless ego. As a side effect once Pride turns against the user, Itsuki becomes someone who loses his dignity - like someone humbled down and becomes a zero-personality individual. Lastly, Kizuna's curse being the Sloth. The effects are obvious that she loses interest in almost everything and becomes less mobile. Aside from those, she also becomes lethargic and gradually weakens (exp loss over time) while her curse releases miasma

I usually watch English dub, but I also don’t say no to an anime for it being sub if anything I’m kind of wanting to see if I can start picking up a few more Japanese words because obviously kawaii but other words too so that eventually I’ll barely need subs and I can just rewind ten seconds but subs on figure out the word then turn subs off
