I am completely impressed with Cassidy. When he first arrived in AEW he didn't have JR on his side and many others honestly thought he was just a big joke. Truth is though the man can wrestle. He has earned the respect of those that once cast doubt on him and can go toe to toe with some of the best in the world. AEW has struck gold with Cassidy and I hope Khan is smart enough to realize what he has here because the dude has nothing but a bright future ahead if he can stay healthy....

I can still remember the first time I watched Ospreay live and in person. I predicted then he would take the world by storm. He’s bulked up and evolved so much since then into everyone’s top 3 wrestlers of today. It wasn’t hard to predict to be honest. Anyone who knows anything about wrestling would watch him and think, he’s the British version of AJ and Ricochet.

I never understand the complaints about Cassidy. He's one of the only guys in AEW who DOES consistently tell a story in the ring AND maintain kayfabe. And honestly, one of his best "spots" is his lackadaisical counters that are exactly what a real person would do... He actually rolls out of the way or steps out of the way or goes dead weight, instead of just waiting there like an idiot for someone to do a move on him. That alone make me love him and is more realistic than 99% of wrestlers in the USA.

The way I try to explain it to people on both sides is... imagine that wrestling is like Basketball and every wrestler is a Basketball team. Whereas any wrestler is some equivalent of an NBA team - in search of a championship... Orange Cassidy is the Harlem Globe Trotters... at the end of the day - you'll still get a basketball game... but when Cassidy is involved... its different. Some people love it - some people hate it... The people who hate tend it - hate mostly because there are only two outcomes- either you lose to guy who isn't really trying for most of the match... or you barely win against a guy who isn't trying for most of the match... how does your character recover from that kind of presentation... at least so their thinking goes.

I do not care what anyone says on this match but in my honest opinion that was one of the top ten all time AEW matches. Orange and his style of offense and defense was perfect to balance out Osprey high impact and high flying offense. They were able to tell a story that was serious and funny. It kept everyone thinking who was actually going to win. I don't believe Ospreys title was on the line anyways.

this match...wow. For me its a moty candidate, hell even a 5*. I´ve watched the old ajpw bouts with Misawa, Kobashi, Kawada,etc. I´ve watched the Omega, Okada stuff, this is different, but still great. Orange Cassidy is such a great natural face. He is everything wwe wanted for their face of the company in terms of charisma and connection with the crowd (not size obviously). But in terms of presence in and outside the ring he is by for superior to thew likes of Cena or Reigns.

I'm part of the OC craze. I can't believe i like the stuff he does, but it cracks me the hell up. On the side, cassidy has actual skills and can make matches super awesome with the things he does. Ospreay is one of the top 5 best wrestlers in the entire world right now. I'm saying that and i don't even know much about the man.

If you haven't yet you should go watch some of Ospreays run as a junior heavyweight in Japan. Specifically, his 2016 Best Of The Super Juniors match with Ricochet and his run in the same tournament in 2019. You won't be disappointed.
