Will persona 5 Strikers have a sequel?

8 months later and sadly I would’ve loved it, it didnt happen hell Sumire wasn’t even in persona 5 tactica only dlc where she had no interaction with anyone else but Ren

I can see them doing a P5 Strikers 2 which would be a sequel to both Royal and the original Strikers game's story (similar to how P4A was a sequel to P3fes and vanilla P4's story while P4AU was a sequel to P3fes, P4G and P4A's story). Alongside this, I think the other 2 major Persona games that are currently being developed at Atlus are P3 Remake and P6.

Agree on that. Development and release timings are the main reasons of continuity inconsistency in between the first spin off continuation story and mainline enhanced version. Also Royal and Strikers probed the possibility of the new generation of Persona users having to tackle mass cognition distortions resulting from human induced research. Most of the time, that approach of probing the mass cognition domains didn't end well as seen with the tragedies in P3 gen, and worse, the ongoing problem might drag other generations of Persona users unrelated to the problem into battle as seen in Arena. Atlus might have already planned to reveal the next stories, though the pandemic and new marketing deals relating to multiplatform delayed their initial plans. Also they seem to be the type to promote their major games individually instead of many at the same time, meaning that they might reveal their new projects after Etrian Odyssey remaster release in June, which is why many assumed them to be slow

kinda doubt this would happen but it could be cool. add sumi in and use some plot reason for her being absent from strikers 1 (she was at a big summer competition idk) and make either her or sophias element curse so there’s not two slightly different bless users. only issue there is that im not sure what other other new playable character you could add since each element is already covered but im sure they could figure something out

I honestly think the next spinoff game they try will be something new again, maybe a different kind of action game or something? Another Strikers game is plausible but I feel like they’d do something different for now

On one hand, Id love a Strikers game that used more than just P5 for its roster. On the otherhand, I REALLY want Akechi and Sumire in Strikers. And Im worried if they did the former, we wouldnt get them and maybe lose other Phantom Thieves. They just gotta make a Strikers game that theyre willing to support with content for a bit. Dunno why Atlus isnt too big on that

Honestly wouldn't mind if they made another strikers. I feel like this way they can continue the story of the Phantom Thieves without having to make a true blue sequel. Like sure if the "B-Team" wants to make more stuff, whatever. But i'd personally want to see more remakes from their ps2 catalogue, and see the Q series ported to switch already with some English VA's and some other quality of life changes (Q2 in my opinion is better than Strikers). Only good thing about strikers was introducing an adult Persona user to play as. Want more action games? Port the Raidou games to modern platforms with added features. idk man. Either way, Atlus knows we'll play 'em.

While I won't say no to Persona 5 Strikers 2 since the Phantom Thieves are up there with SEES and the P2 group for my favorite cast, I'd much prefer a general Persona Muso game. Do what they did with Hyrule Warriors and go wild. I'd kill to have a mission with Ryuji, Eikichi, Junpei and Yosuke fighting along side each other

​​​@@TheMidnightChannelt the same time, mobile gaming has a large market in Asia, and several major franchises have mobile gaming to connect their mainline/side/spin off titles including other media; Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Gundam, Pokemon etc. Atlus did have SMT Dx2, though they are kind of late in letting the Persona franchise go in that model, considering the massive potential in terms of character-Persona pair, narratives, Arcana etc. They kind of have mobile gaming in the retro/flip phone era, though Phantom X is the first time on the smartphone era and bigger scale
