Will Pokemon TCG Pocket affect the current card game?

I think that's the opposite. This mobile game will bring a bigger population into playing Pokémon which will translate into more people buying physical cards to play organized tournament be it online or offline. The same has happened in other TCGs.

I prefer this cause playing a normal game takes around 15 mins And this looks fun and only take 5 mins. Side: I think you should start talking about Pokémon Legends; ZA cause I have a feeling it’s gonna be crazy leading up to 30th anniversary.

I would be happy if it will all be converted to digital Cards and everyone is just trading with their friends and local communities. They could add a Pokemon go aspect to it where you have to physically go somewhere to do certain actions

Excellent analysis. I think the Pokémon company are trying to build the younger fan base who have been priced out for the last few years due to products not being readily available on store shelves with scalping, price of packs increasing. I have kids and £5 for a booster pack means I can only buy them a pack or 2 per month, in this app they can get the excitement of opening packs daily for free. They are trying to appeal to future customers and for any of us already invested in Pokémon they will be our future customers too. Great work by the Pokémon company!

What are your thoughts on the lucario v event prize promo? I bought a psa 10 copy a few days ago, do you think this card would do well longterm? Was saving or this card for a looooong time, finally able to buy it!

It looks like they’re trying to go with the Duel links rout, which duel links was really successful for a while. And duel links was simpler, but it still had the base game play of Yugioh. I don’t think it will be as fast as Marvwl Snap, but more like Duel Links.

Do you think they will let us sell cards in this app, it would nice to have an actual digital pokemon card app to buy sell and collect etc but it would suck if you can't cash out your funds and only have them stuck in the app for purchases, they already have that, not asking for anything nft related but I want to have full owner ship with pokemon pocket

Thoughts on the Pikachu Gekito Spark Gym Promo? Its dipped down to less than 100 yen per card and features the charizard gym promo card that was released in 2020 on the opposite side, fighting the pikachu.

I acutually do think it will eventually lead to NFTs. Just due to the fact pokemon makes no profit on the secondary market since its inception. But as a company that wants ways to increase profits. NFTs will allow a money glitch of lifetime royalty after its first sale. So wether we like it or not I do see this as something coming in the future.
