@ruekie5 ай бұрын
The album is about toxic-positivity I don't know if you get that but it's a critical view of how people force themselves to be positive just to receive something although many things happen because someone else is doing it to them.

I met Lynn decades ago at Discount Records in Ann Arbor. We went bicycle riding and talked. I didn't get to hear her music, but remember she was in a band called "The Walking Wounded," which i thought (and still think) was the greatest band name. She was almost intimidatingly positive, so "up" that I found her a challenge to deal with, tho she was smart and pretty and easy to like. The "issues" were mine, not hers, as I knew even then. Learned only much later that she was a photographer, had been involved with Springsteen, and was known (why?) as "famous." So there it is, a blast from the past. Funny how time just slips away.....
@lynn-goldsmith7 жыл бұрын
that's sweet -- and yes that's what we all are the walking wounded - but if we are here - hey we should be happy about it - some don't make it -- It's nice to hear from you -- and yes even in this Trump nightmare I am upbeat about what it can do to wake people up! rock on brother
@vanrozay88717 жыл бұрын
soon I'll have a song attacking Trump ("Frack Him!)" posted on KZbin, after my son helps me records it. My name was George Koppel, is now Van Rozay, and i have many (very low "production value") videos here. Was Mike "Cubby" Coda in Grand Funk? Do you remember Peter Weil, who ran sound for them and improvised effects pedals? He was (died of AIDS years ago) a tech whiz and sweet guy. i see your positive outlook is undiminished. 4vanrozay@gmail.com

Never heard this one before -- good one, Lynn! Great song, absolutely mindblowing video! I just love the aesthetic... um... sparseness (?) of early CGI; no distractions, no redudancy, no overload like today. Just pure geometry and colours. But those faces sure are creepy! Aaargh! And if you keep the vid and just add a bit of tekkno you'd have a guaranteed hit again today! ;^) Admittedly, I've gone through many a day these past years with nothing to smile about. by today's standards, this song my sound odd? you may think that this sounds horrible? but, i remember the orig. release of this song/ video.. it was a very popular radio record. i still LOVE the video's photography, & the entire concept. i love the colors, & the geometric shapes. it's totally, early 80's. & if you really pay attention to these lyrics, it has an extremely Positive message; "Just a SMILE can change, even, the very worst day". the male vocalist here, really reminds me of "Hall & Oates"s Daryl Hall?
