What Williams is doing with Franco is so unfair and fucking selfish. Asking 20m means nobody would dare to take him, but at the same time Williams is not giving Colapinto a seat in the near future neither. So why don’t they just let the boy go for a few years? He deserves it.

Bortoleto for free is the crucial point here. Bottas's salary of $10m is madness for a back marker team, owned by a carmaker in utter economical turmoil. Huelkenberg (currently on $2m) and Bortoleto will drive for "peanuts" in comparison. Audi is going shut down their factory in Brussels with 3.000 jobs on the line, only yesterday news have come out about Audi planning to axe up to 4.500 jobs in the Fatherland after their operative revenue has collapsed by 90% in Q3. Volkswagen will have to find 10 billion Euro over the next three years... or else. Everything is on the chopping block and pouring millions into Audi's F1 vanity project is the very least of their priorities.

@@hectorshouse7348 Yeah I am the same on that. Red Bull is a pressure cooker and I think Liam Lawson being in that since 16 hsa the mental resilience to handle it and Sainz, Charles (Ferrari has something similar) . That is why Yuki probably wouldn't handle it well even though he deserves a shot.

Jos Verstappen just backed Lawson to take Checo's seat, that is the really important endorsement, as they need to keep Max happy, so he doesn't leave at the end of his contract, which would be a disaster for Red Bull.

20M for Franco seems ridiculous at this point.... Thats more than some established drivers salaries. If i wer red bull id just leave him be and if he sits out 2025 his stock price would fall and get him on the cheap for 2026... Red Bull do not need franco but he deff needs a drive to stay relevant. Williams have alot of nerve asking that much when they cannot offer him a seat for at least 2 years

I don't see any driver go to Redbull, but for Lawson. He is now for the second time in the VCarb and proving his worth. Colapinto had only had a couple of races and in the rain he is nowhere, looking back at Sao Paulo, so he needs to get more experienced.

Perez will drive a Red Bull in 2025 as per his signed and sealed contract. How far will he go from Bahrain is anybody's guess. As for this rookie Colapinto thing, Argentina does not have a home GP so his alleged expensive trade off with Williams for 20M won't bring as much money to RB as Checo is already bringing.
