@@misstinwhistle1 You've got it backwards. Compared to most members of the animal kingdom human vision is superior in terms of detail, distance and colour differentiation. The only category of animals that consistently outdoes us in those metrics are birds of prey. Pretty much the only aspect that we outright do poorly in is night vision, and that's a direct consequence of specialising for the aforementioned colour perception. Regarding the Mantis Shrimp specifically, it's worth noting that they can't actually perceive the colours that we see all that well.

These spy videos are some of the most entertaining pieces of media I’ve seen. The thought of the person controlling the robot gets to feel like what it is to be a crab or whatever animal they’re trying to mimic😂

Wait, maybe 5% of the footage is from the spy crab. It’s purely to add some novelty for our dwindling attention spans. Still a solid nature piece though!

It’s believed in some circles that crabs don’t actually feel pain per say, but detect damage. So, under that precedent, the crab was just deciding "fuck it, that crushed my arm, it’s dead weight now" and tried cutting his losses. …Didn’t work, but still.
