House prices in London are enough to make this Midlands girl cry. I pay practically a third of that for a whole house twice the size of the flat shown just out of the centre of my city... Totally agree with choosing based on the potential for a dishwasher though.

It's quite a nice place with all the conveniences, and for a reasonable price for a two-bedroom. Since I'm not familiar with London I don't know its proximity to the Tube, shopping and restaurants. And like some realtors say, it's all about location, location, location.
@TheMattJames4 жыл бұрын
Hey where in zone 3 is this?
@griffin9554 жыл бұрын
It's worth noting that the fact that it was unfurnished did have a an effect on the price. A lot of people who want a short-let contract will expect their place to be furnished by the landlord and it can add 100-200 extra a month. Minimalism in London is a godsend.
@Westindiangyal11114 жыл бұрын
Very nice and quite resonable compare to prices in the US. Been taking if relocating to the UK for years. Getting the feeling even stronger it's time.

I look at the comments here and they just make me laugh....ok London is a great city, but live there, no chance. I love the fact I live in Manchester it was probably the biggest factor that allowed me to retire in my forties. The truth is you can earn good money in Manchester, I was earning a 6 figure amount. However, because the cost of living is so much lower I was able to invest massive, and have a very good quality of life. Each to their own....but I wanted a life of freedom and there is no way I would have achieved it living in London....by the way, most of my extended family (who live in London) are in awe of the life myself and my siblings have...the houses we live in and own and the standard of living we have.....life is what you make of it, only people from London think it’s the best place to live, most other people know better.

About 1610$ in current exchange. I'm guessing he pays half so 800$+ / 625£. It's important to consider that London prices and costs of living are the highest in England and the minimum wage there is one the highest as a result.

@SEAWEEDER14 жыл бұрын
I pay £281.00 per month for a 1 bed croft it's not in London but it does have access to mooring in a harbour, friendly seal, surrounded by private woodland overlooking a sea loch complete with all the wildlife that likes to scream at night as well as Angus the tamest Highland cow who likes to eat my plants. There is nothing here Mc donalds is a day trip but the easy laid back way of life here makes it worth while. Bad points :- having to collect dried kelp for burning for the winter fire, wood collection (no mains gas connection), Petrol prices are higher, No shops or takeouts are near and supermarket is a day out. Winter time you can be stuck for weeks due to snow so you have to buy 2 cars a normal and a 4x4, when the septic tank is full the smell is awful so you have to divert the sewage to the stream near the property. Living in London has it's good points thats why property rental is high.
