Gentile just means non-Jewish.There's nothing intrinsically pejorative or discriminatory in the meaning of the word.It's perfectly acceptable to use it in the context he did, where he's talking broadly about racism towards Jews from non-Jews.The word black isn't racist but some people will say the word in a racist or dismissive tone.That doesn't then mean the word black shouldn't be used when describing a person who is of that colour. It's the sentiment behind the word that matters.Not the word.
